Raw and Ready Nutrition- Ma'ayan Jasovich

Raw and Ready Nutrition- Ma'ayan Jasovich Gut-brain nutritionist, helping you heal naturally from within using nutrition, functional testing, and a mind-body approach to healing.

Raw and Ready:

Our only home on this planet is our body. We carry it everywhere we go. In order for it to thrive, move and carry us around it needs to be nourished and cared for. My mission is to empower you in the process of connecting to what your body needs. Nourishing it is not about eating plain, flavourless “boring” food. It is about enjoying every bite and knowing that your body is getting everything it needs. It is about supporting it in your daily life, your movement practices, and especially supporting it during times of sickness. Raw and Ready is a state of mind. It is knowing the wisdom of our body and recognizing that we always expand, grow and revolutionize ourselves from within. That means getting down and dirty, putting in the work, but also lovin’ every moment of it. No BS, no rounding corners, while respecting and trusting the process. About Ma'ayan:

Graduated from the Nutrition and Food Science program at Ryerson University in Toronto (BASc.) Ma’ayan developed a plethora of scientific understanding of the body and its relationship with food. As a dancer, a yoga teacher and a mover in general, Ma’ayan believes in nourishing the symbiotic relationship of our body with food and movement. As such, she has a holistic approach to healing; always elevating the communication between the mind, body and soul.

During a session with a client, I asked her if she is feeling that she is in survival mode. I knew the answer, but I want to see how she perceived it.

She was a high ranking employee in a large company and was making big bucks. So she said “no”. She was making a lot of money- how can she be in survival?

We think that being in survival is only about money, so this response made sense….but in reality, our body will “tell on us” where our mind will make up stories.

In her case: insulin resistance, poor sleep, trouble losing weight, and disconnection from self were clear signs.

As a body based practitioner I recognize quickly what the body is saying. Stress, survival, fatigue, lack of fulfillment. You name it.

The thing is, even if we changed the story, and we lowered stress in our life- if we didn’t support the body in healing from the root, it won’t stick. The body is the base of how we show up in the world, and in that- the gut is Queen 🫅 👸🏽.

We can’t be living our life optimally if we are depleted. We can’t build and travel and be fully living if our body is constantly sending signals of distress.

I’m offering deep gut analysis and soon HTMA hair mineral tests in my practice. If you want to uncover what’s a the root of your stress and illness, book a free call through the link in the bio.

Before you reach out for the anti-acids, here are some of my favorites acid reflux supporters:

🍎 Apple Cider Vinegar helps stomach acid production and improve digestion when levels are low (which is common in acid reflux)
🌿 DGL (Licorice Root) soothes irritation and supports the stomach lining.
🫚 Ginger reduces inflammation and supports gastric emptying.
🌼 Chamomile calms the digestive tract and eases discomfort

Try these out, and if your heartburn stays longer than a few weeks reach out to discover what is causing your gut issues.

Happy Rosh Hashana, Jewish new year 🤍💫

I usually have a lot of words, but this time I simply wish for to use the energy of this time to cultivate goodness in our minds and spirit.

Life has had tough mirroring on humanity the past few years, and yet this moment reminds me where our power lies. We each have our own garden to plan, to seed and to saw.

May we be reminded of the sweetness, abundance and nourishment that’s available to us 🍎🍯.

Acid reflux has more to do with *low stomach acid* rather than high stomach acid, so you pouring anti-acids is really like hosing a wet plant 🥀.

The issue has more to do with WHY the acid is leaving your stomach and into your esophagus.

Low stomach acid is often connected to stress, aging, or infections like H. pylori.

H. pylori weakens the stomach lining and lowers acid, and gut imbalances / SIBO can create pressure that pushes stomach contents upward.

It’s important to note that ongoing acid reflux could be structural and caused by a Hiatal hernia. This is a structural issue that requires medical attention.

I’ll share some short term herbal remedies that could sooth and aid your heartburn soon, but if this is an ongoing problem you may benefit from doing a GI-MAP stool test and a comprehensive assessment to find the root cause of the issue. My guess is that it’s not the only gut issue that you are experiencing 😔.
