Healing from trauma is a deeply personal journey. It’s not about rushing or forcing yourself to "get over it." Instead, it’s about gently reconnecting with yourself, understanding your experiences, and finding ways to feel safe and whole again. If you’ve been carrying the weight of trauma and/...

You’re not failing because you can’t get started.
Your nervous system might be scanning for danger—even in your inbox.
Executive function improves when we feel safe. 🥰

One of the best ways to work with our perfectionist part is to take action and see how it feels to do something imperfectly. Initially it might feel uncomfortable, but the more you do it the easier it gets. What will you try this week?

What if we looked at “unfinished” days with curiosity instead of judgment?

For people with C-PTSD, executive function can ebb and flow.
What you need isn't more pressure—it's compassion and co-regulation.

Structure helps—but safety comes first.
If traditional productivity advice hasn’t worked for you, it might be because it doesn’t account for trauma.

If you grew up in chaos, your brain learned to survive—by shutting down, people-pleasing, or avoiding.
Now, as an adult, you might call that executive dysfunction “laziness.”
It’s not.
It’s your nervous system doing its best to keep you safe.

💬 Have you experienced this? You’re not alone.

Ever stare at a simple task and feel frozen?

That’s not laziness—it might be executive dysfunction.
For people with C-PTSD, even “easy” tasks can trigger overwhelm, shame, or shutdown.
Your nervous system isn’t broken. It’s protecting you.

Understanding ADHD in the context of trauma is essential for effective management. Many strategies don't work for trauma survivors, and it's crucial to adapt our approaches. Read more about this in our latest blog post! https://wix.to/TxRCCTT

ADHD is often framed as a neurodevelopmental condition involving attention, executive functioning, and impulsivity. But for many adults—especially those with relational or developmental trauma—ADHD-like symptoms are deeply shaped by their nervous system’s survival responses.

Integrative Therapy

Are you struggling with issues related to trauma, grief, addiction, anxiety, or major life changes? Have you recently had an experience you are struggling to process or integrate?

There comes a time when help is needed from a professional to cope with life’s ups and downs or ongoing challenges. I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery.

I use an integrative process to psychotherapy, meaning it’s not a one size fits all approach. I draw from various therapeutic modalities including relational, somatic, and psychodynamic theories. I also frequently use interventions from CBT, DBT and Hakomi. For those that are new to therapy I provide psychoeducation around the brain, the nervous system and attachment styles. I will also guide you to develop your own mindfulness or meditation practice, in order to help you to take action on your own, outside the therapy room.

I believe strongly that the therapeutic relationship or alliance is key to the processes of healing and growth. Most of us are hurt in relationship, and it’s through building an honest and trusting relationship that we heal. It’s essential that you feel safe and seen, and that is what you can expect from me.
