ZOOM AI COMPANION
A new step for me in using Zoom technology. I turned on “AI Companion” for the first time this Saturday, not sure what it would do. After our Saturday class, this amazing summary popped up. I thought it did a surprisingly good job of capturing the essence of the class! I’d love to hear your views if you were in this class, or have attended any of my previous classes.

For considering a class with me, this is a good overview of what I do in class and how I approach it. As you read it, your inner knowing will tell you “Ick, not for me” or “This sounds worth a try”.

COMPARING is the Thief of Joy…
I remember hearing this quote from a yoga client years ago, and it has stayed with me. It is one of the three things I suggest to every new person who joins me for yoga:
- Don’t compare; to anyone else, to what you feel you should or used to be able to do. If you come into class with an open mind and an open heart, you will get some benefit"
Sensitized to the truth of this, I try to encourage "noticing" instead of comparing. A subtle, but I hope, positive difference.💖
The second quote below along the same theme is from Tama J. Kieves' new book "Learning to Trust Yourself".

Winter rest (from the German term Winterruhe), is a period of reduced activity in nature—plants and animals—designed to conserve energy during cold, resource-scarce months. For humans, this season is ideal for rejuvenation, offering a time for inward focus, deeper sleep, repairing tissues, and aligning with natural rhythms to avoid burnout.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has been part of my yoga community this year!
We travelled through the seven major chakras, spending a month deepening into each one. October was infused with inspiration from my Sivananda Retreat with a focus on Kumbhaka (breath retention), Nadi Shodhana and Kapalbhati Pranayama. Then we closed out the year with a focus on pelvic floor.
I loved the time, the connection and the sharing with you all.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated. It nourishes and inspires me for the new year.
