With the release of the 2026 Ontario Budget, WeRPN is pleased to see key investments in the healthcare sector, including the addition of 1,000 registered practical nursing seats at colleges and universities and supports for home, community, and long-term care.

While these are positive developments, more must be done to support our nurses. We call on government to invest in solutions like permanent education funding streams, transparent staffing data and fair compensation.
WeRPN is committed to advocating for our membership and strengthening our nursing workforce.
