No you shouldn't a) stop breastfeeding or 2) grit your teeth and bear it

Biting while nursing is normal, and it hurts 😥

But it's far from a reason to stop nursing.

All 3 of my kids have bit me while nursing at some point, or even multiple points along their journey and while it has definitely been a shock, I've been consistent to follow these 3 rules and it hadnt lasted more than a couple of days:

🤱 1. Very important: UNLATCH right away.

🛑 2. Say something along the lines of "We don't bite. That hurts me."

⚾️ 3. Three strikes: Relatch and try again. 3 strikes and if they strike out, say "all done" (I use sign language with the words). Unlatch and move on to a different activity.

Baby's bite for different reasons, and the obvious is that they are teething- try rubbing their gums before nursing, offering a cold vegetable ( eg cucumber, celery, carrot, pepper if they are on solids (supervised of course), or a teething toy to soothe them BEFORE nursing.

FAQ: How do I care for my Naked Nursing Tanks? (And bamboo breast pads)

For both our bamboo & cotton collections, we've kept things simple for you:

▪︎ Machine wash- cold, regular cycle with like colours
▪︎ Dry- hang dry or low tumble in the dryer

💧 We highly recommend placing your products in a wash bag for longer life of your tanks and so you can find your nursing pads easily. These bags are perfect to save you from disappearing baby socks and bibs too 🤣
