Have you heard about Sing for Peace?

A lot of us are feeling the weight, the pain and the stress of so much suffering, hatred and intolerance in the world right now. It can also feel really frustrating, and upsetting, when we think we are powerless.

🎶 Singing together, especially songs of peace and togetherness:
* calms our minds and opens our hearts
* allows stress and anxiety to melt away
* helps us become radiant beacons of harmony

🌎 All Voices Welcome
Our community choir has no auditions, no judgment, just voices coming together to create something beautiful.

We learn in the oral tradition, using call and response — simple, fun, and deeply satisfying.

It’s the Summer Solstice, and we’re celebrating 18 beautiful months of community at The Unity Studio! We’re throwing a party to say thank you—and we’d love to host you for an afternoon of connection, celebration, and self-expression.

Your portrait will be captured by editorial photographer Roya DelSol, set against a custom backdrop created by visual artist Gabrielle Lasporte, thanks to our friends at Rollup. Want to add some flair? We’ll also have some summer props on set, plus fresh flowers & we’ll be using The Unity Studio decor too!

👗 What to Wear?
We encourage guests to wear solid colours for their portrait!
This will beautifully complement the stunning backdrop designed by artist Gabrielle Lasporte, which is vibrant green and is a leaf pattern (see the banner at the top of this page). Think simple, clean, and bold tones that help you shine while keeping the focus on your presence and the art behind you.

📥 When Do I Get My Photos?
Photos will be delivered by July 3, 2025. In exchange for this gift, all we ask is that you share your photo as an in-feed Instagram post within 14 days and tag us . We’ll provide a simple copy-paste credit caption—easy peasy.

One solo portrait or headshot AND/OR a duo/group photo

Even if you are not able to make it for the photoshoot or if the spots are all full, we would love to have you join us for food and music to celebrate the Summer Solstice! 🌻
