Insomnia affects millions of individuals of all ages, be it occasionally or chronic. It can alter how you perform at work, drive, affect mood and productivity. Many do not have the patience for meditation, others rely exclusively on sleeping pills, which become less or totally ineffective over time...
Try this simple, but meaningful substitute for old fashioned counting sheep:
Count your blessings!
Start with the basic things, like:
Thank you for this cosy bed, this warm blanket, this roof over my head, the food in the fridge, the job I (may not always like) but am glad I have, my relatively good health (it could always be worse) etc. etc.,
Keep counting the big and little things, and before you know it, you will have drifted off to a peaceful sense of calm and sleep, comforted by the many blessings✨️
