Osteopathy is a gentle form of manual therapy that aims to improve the natural healing and recovery mechanisms within the body.

By improving structural and functional integrity through joint mobilizations, soft tissue release, myofascial and visceral manipulations, osteopathy can help reduce pain from muscle spasm (torticollis, wry neck) and digestive concerns (reflux, gas, colic) that commonly affect newborns and young infants.

Anatomica’s pediatric specialist Simon El Malek is internationally trained, with Osteopathy degrees from France and Great Britain, and certification as an instructor of baby wearing and Thalasso Bain Bebe technique. He has extensive training and experience treating infants, children, pregnant people, and post-partum pelvic health.

The Alexander Technique is aimed at improving postural and muscular habits, mobility, and attention. Students and teachers of the Alexander Technique embrace the reality that physical, emotional, and cognitive habits are intertwined with the functional health of the body and overall wellbeing.

Alexander Technique lessons are focused on unlearning old movement patterns, through a series of guided explorations with the help of an Certified Teacher.

Anatomica’s Alexander Technique Teacher (and post-graduate student) Nathalie has studied the Alexander Technique since 2011, under both Johanne Benoit and Elaine Kopman. It is a strong driver in all aspects of her life, and she is enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge and experience with new students.
