We were just at the gas station and saw a lady almost run over a young black man. He wasn’t upset, he just said it’s okay and proceeded into the store. She then started yelling at him and called him a n**** repeatedly. Then drove off.

There were a few people who jumped in and tried to do something. A few people who recorded her and one young girl who witnessed the whole thing. She was extremely upset and may be traumatized as a result of witnessing this verbally violent assault.

This is one story of many that I could tell you. I haven’t even talked about my own experiences. For all those who think racism doesn’t exist in Canada you’re wrong.

My heart aches for that young man and every black person who has had to deal with racism. My heart aches for that young girl who had to witness today’s situation. My heart aches for humanity.

We must do better!

My sister is keeping Max and Aviya Busy. This week they had to create a PowerPoint presentation about Things that contain animal products. Max chose fire works and Avi chose Gummy bears. They presented there findings over zoom to the whole family. Not only did they learn something new, but they were able to practise their public speaking skills. They did a wonderful job💕
