What a beautiful yet bittersweet journey.

As I approach my last days of pregnancy (41 weeks today 🙈), I’ve reflected a lot on my experience. There were many ups and downs, tears of joy and discomfort, and moments of trust and fear.

No one prepares you for the end. You’re counting down the days, but also holding on to the kicks. You feel thankful, in awe, and lucky, but also sore, swollen, and not quite yourself. How you can crave the end, yet still feel grief it’s almost over. How you want your body back, but know you’ll miss the way it protected them. It’s a slow, emotional transformation: mentally, physically, and spiritually.

For the rest of the year, I will be posting about my pregnancy and postpartum since I want to normalize some things that I’d wish I had known throughout. But first, let’s have this baby.

MARRIED !! ✨

Hi Everyone!

I thought I’d share a photo this month that was captured this past weekend since this is a special milestone I’d like to celebrate with you all 🍾

I met my husband online (yes, online dating can actually work!) and even better, I manifested him!
I often bring up faith and manifesting in my sessions with clients, so here is a representation that manifesting what you want can actually work if you put in the consistent hard work and choose love over fear.

So, continue to work towards what you want in your life and find someone who unconditionally loves your full authentic self 🥰

Day 30: Find meaning🔮 Interpret this in the way that works for you. It could be finding meaning in your job, health, relationships, lifestyle, or in my case, crystals. We often feel a lack of control in our lives and allow fear to take over. Finding meaning helps us remember things that are important to us and helps us release fear, and choose love instead. Once you find it, set it as your intention for 2023! 🍾

Day 29: LAUGH 😂 Find a video, meme, movie, or call a friend that makes you laugh today. There are physical, mental, and social benefits of laughter:
physical - boosts immunity, lowers cortisol (stress hormone), and decreases pain;
mental - eases anxiety and tension, improves mood, and strengthens resilience;
social - strengthens relationships, enhances teamwork, and helps defuse conflict.
So find something to laugh at today and just like SpongeBob, laugh your pants off! 🤣

Day 28: Write down a list of dreams for 2023 and onwards (I usually say up to 10 years) 🎊 A dream is a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal so the sky is the limit. It is recommended that you continue to repeat these dreams to yourself on a daily basis and reflect on the ways that you are taking small, baby steps to make it happen. Dreaming gives us the motivation to make small changes and take action so that our dreams come true one day✨

Day 24: Eat & Drink Mindfully 🥑🍷 This is quite the challenge during the holidays so here are some steps to keep in mind over the holidays:
 
Step 1: Breathe – Before eating, pause and take a deep breath in and out, paying attention to your body.
·      How hungry am I right now? How full am I right now?
·      If you are not hungry right now, why are you eating?
·      Is it your mood or situation? If it's your mood, is there another way to feel good that you are familiar with i.e. coping strategies
 
Step 2: Explore – bring awareness now to your food and explore it as if you were a child i.e. colour, texture, smell etc.
·      How does this food “speak” to you?
·      What makes it attractive to you?
 
Step 3: Savor – discover the flavours in each bite, place down utensils and bite, chew, pause and explore
·      What do you appreciate about the first bite?
·      Are you inhaling or enjoying?
 
Step 4: Observe – once done eating your first full item i.e. one donut, observe how your mind and body feel.
·      What emotions pop up? Irritable, hyper, happy, content?
·      What thoughts pop up? Guilt, memories, etc.?
·      Does the food nourish your body?
 
Step 5: Take a 10–15-minute break
·      Am I satisfied or do I feel my body needs more?

I always say, celebrate the big, but also the small things since our brains are wired to respond to rewards.
