The Canadian Biomarker Integration Network in Depression (CAN-BIND) is a national program of research and learning that is discovering ways to identify the right treatment for the right person in order to help individuals with depression get well quickly, and stay well.

We are recruiting healthy volunteers to participate in our research study, OPTIMUM-D (Optimized Predictive Treatment In Medications for Unipolar Major Depression), that tests whether a specific combination of biomarkers (like genes, proteins, and electrical activity in the brain) can help predict an individual's response to depression treatment. Healthy volunteers help to highlight any differences in those biomarkers when compared to our group of patients with depression.

Participation lasts 8 weeks and visits include bloodwork, answering questions, and recording of electrical activity of the brain. You may be eligible to participate if you have no psychiatric history, are physically healthy, and are between the ages of 18 and 65.

Please feel free to send us a message if you're interested in participating in our study or would like some more details. Be aware that emails and messages are not guaranteed to be secure, so please refrain from including any sensitive information.

The Canadian Biomarker Integration Network in Depression (CAN-BIND) is a national program research and learning that is discovering ways to identify the right treatment for the right person in order to help individuals with depression get well quickly, and stay well.

We are recruiting healthy volunteers to participate in our research study, ENABLE (Enabling Neuroscience research Approaches for Brain, feeLings and Emotions), that aims to create a platform to connect potential patients with clinical studies that suit their treatment needs.

You may be eligible to participate if you have no psychiatric history, are physically healthy, and are older than 18.

Participation may involve one or more study visits with two levels. The first level is mandatory for participation and involves meeting with the study team, answering some questions, and completing online surveys. The second level is optional and includes answering questions, blood work, magnetic resonance imaging and recording of electrical activity of the brain.

Please feel free to send us a message if you are interested in participating in our study or would like some more details. Contact us by phone at 437-522-4953 or email us at canbindstudies@uhn.ca.
