Okay this one is going to be long one, not only because it's based on true events, but also because I'm feeling poetic. here goes.
So,a longtime ago,
A little birdie spread her wings, to leave the nest and achieve greater things.
To glide, to soar, to fly real high, to float in the clouds and win over the sky.
Miles away from home she went, to learn, to research to experiment.
But the road was long and hard as stone, she'd work real hard and be tired to the bone.
With years to go and her struggles ripe, her folks visited her often to be by her side.
Then one day her dad made a friend, to discuss mundane routines and even political intend.
During one such exchange the friend quietly observed,
"you look like Desmond Tutu, the one that Africa served."
Daddy birdie wonder how that conspired, until he saw the photo of the leader inspired.
It was almost like a godly prose, continents apart they had the same nose!
This little anecdote went on to be a family favorite and eventually everyone joked about how all the "noses in the family" had a distinct pattern.
Fast forward to the time this little guy came along, the exhausted new mom asked her partner-in-crime; "How does he look he?" and the prompt reply was: "The nose is classic Desmond TuTu!" bole toh, just like his grand-dad. And, because I love this story, I put it on a onsie. 😀😀😀
