Hey there, it's Christelle, the artist and Creative Director at Meso Funky. Can you believe it? It's been six incredible months since I picked up my beloved paintbrush again. The journey hasn't been easy though. During the first three months of the year, I found myself battling an unknown illness, which turned out to be related to menopause. But thanks to hormone replacement therapy, I'm feeling much better now. You might wonder what menopause has to do with painting, and truth be told, it played a significant role in my artistic reawakening.

Amidst the turmoil of my health struggles, painting became my solace. It was the one thing I yearned for and could immerse myself in whenever I found the strength to sit down and create. In those moments, nothing else mattered. Pouring my emotions onto the canvas brought me comfort during a time of despair.

And thus, my series 'Color Therapy' was born. Through vibrant hues and neon accents, I discovered the light I desperately needed—a reminder that I still held control over my life, despite the darkness that had surrounded me. It was a way to remake my despair into something beautiful.

As I began taking hormone replacement and regained a sense of normalcy, I looked back at the body of work I had created and asked myself a crucial question: "Is this something I want to pursue full-time?" The answer resonated deep within me—a resounding "yes". The inner child within, the little girl who used to draw on every available surface, from living room tables to apartment walls back in Montpellier, France, spoke up, urging me to embrace this new creative path.

Throughout my life, I have been a designer—a fashion designer, a graphic designer, a color and trend forecaster, and a Creative Director at a Fine Art company. So, embarking on new creative challenges was not unfamiliar to me. I felt ready for this new adventure, eager to explore uncharted territories.
