The Super Blue Moon in Aquarius has passed its zenith but the Full Moon energy is still here.
Yesterday, I mentioned that this was the first of four super moons in a row, but I didn’t go into the theme of this current moon until Alex Bynum reached out and asked.
The Super Blue Moon in Aquarius has a number of themes to it, but there are 2 particular ones I want to touch on.
1) Rationalization of Emotions: for all the intellectual people out there, this Super Moon in Aquarius may have rocked you a bit. Some of us like to provide rational explanations for our emotions in lieu of actually expressing them in a healthy way.
Rationalization can be a shield against vulnerability, it can blind you to your priorities and can be a form of emotional bypassing that redirects unexpressed emotions into the subconscious, forming triggers and autonomic behaviours.
With this Super Blue Moon in Aquarius, you may have come to realization that this is an emotional habit you have formed. If you pride yourself on being rational at all times, you may have noticed yourself feeling more emotional and teary than usual.
From the teachings of the Modern Mystery School, there’s a lot to say about emotions but let’s simplify it here - we all need healthy emotional expression. It’s good for you!
2) Creativity: not every full moon is going to reflect areas that require healing or purging. For some of you, this Full Moon may have passed quite peacefully! In fact, you may have been connecting to inspirations and ideas that you are hoping to manifest!
In esoteric astrology, Aquarius connects us to the mind of God - where all knowledge and ideas exist. If you have been noticing an urge to learn or create or even just tinker and experiment, this is also a manifestation of the Aquarian energy. Have fun with it and allow yourself room to play and create. It’s part of having a joyful human experience. Creation is a part of who we are!
As with all things, there’s the themes of the Moon and then of course there are our own individual charts. Sometimes these events touch our charts in such a way that they bring revelations or touch triggers.
