All my dogs and cats have been from a shelter or rescue organization. Are they ‘second hand’? Sure, if we’re joking around. But they were all wanted, carefully selected, and are beloved family members.

Consider adopting. Redemption Paws doesn’t adopt to families with young children, but take a look at Canine Haven, TEAM Dog rescue, and DIBS (who have an excellent resource section on kids and dogs on their website)
