🔋Check your battery!
When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to keep going without pausing to ask how we’re really doing. Taking a moment to check in with yourself isn’t a luxury, it’s necessary.
What’s supporting you right now?
What’s draining your energy?
What do you need more (or less) of?
Self-awareness is a powerful first step toward protecting your mental health. You don’t have to have all the answers, just start by asking the questions.
Take a breath. Check in. Be honest with yourself 💙

April is Stress Awareness Month: a reminder that feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stretched thin is something so many of us experience, even if it doesn’t always look that way on the outside.
Stress can show up quietly, in your thoughts, your body, your energy, and it’s okay to pause and acknowledge it. You don’t have to push through everything alone. Taking a moment to breathe, step back, or reach out for support is not a setback, it’s strength.
Be gentle with yourself. You’re doing the best you can, and that’s enough 💙
If you need someone to talk to, Distress Centres of Greater Toronto offers free, confidential, 24/7 support:

Honouring Sikh Heritage Month and celebrating a community rooted in equality, compassion, and seva (selfless service to others) 🤍
We’re proud to support and stand alongside the Sikh community across the GTA. Through our South Asian Language Line, we’re committed to providing culturally responsive, accessible mental health support – because everyone deserves to be heard in the language they’re most comfortable with.
The 2026 Walk for Su***de Awareness is more than just an event – it’s a powerful moment of connection, remembrance, and hope for our community. Each step taken helps raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support life-saving mental health services across the GTA.
📣 We’re currently looking for sponsors to help bring this day to life. Your support will directly contribute to Distress Centres of Greater Toronto’s 24/7 crisis lines, su***de prevention efforts, and programs that ensure no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Sponsoring the Walk is an opportunity to make a real impact while aligning your organization with a cause that truly matters. Together, we can create a space for healing, honour those we’ve lost, and support those who need us most.
Registration opens early May, stay tuned 💙
Let’s walk together toward hope and healing, one step at a time.

Piece by piece, we’re building more than just , we’re building connection 🧩💙
Wellness doesn’t always look like quiet moments. Sometimes it’s laughter, creativity, and taking a break together.
At DCGT, connection is at the heart of everything we do: for our community and for each other 🫶🏽

🌍 World Health Day reminds us that caring for our bodies and minds is a daily commitment.
Health isn’t just about what we can see, it’s about how we feel, think, and cope, too. Mental health is health.
In the middle of busy days and responsibilities, it’s easy to overlook ourselves. But checking in, setting boundaries, resting, or reaching out for support are all powerful ways to care for your well-being.
You deserve support, balance, and moments of ease; not just today, but every day 💙
If you’re struggling, you don’t have to go through it alone. We’re here to listen, anytime.

🕊️ Qingming Remembrance is coming up, on April 5.
Qingming is a time to pause, reflect, and remember those we have lost. It is a time to honour loved ones, acknowledge grief, and find connection through memory.
Grief can look different for everyone, there is no right way to remember. Whether through quiet reflection, shared stories, or cultural traditions, what matters most is allowing space for remembrance and healing: “In remembrance, we remain connected.” 💙
If this time feels heavy, you are not alone. Support is here when you need it – including access to Mandarin and Cantonese helplines, so you can speak in the language you’re most comfortable with:
