🍂 Fall Schedule Now Open
My September to December calendar is now live! This time of year fills up quickly, so if you know you’ll be needing care, I encourage you to book ahead to reserve your preferred time slots.
Price Update Effective September 1st
Starting September 1st, my rates will be updated as follows:
Therapeutic Massage Therapy (60 min) – $115.10 + HST = $130
Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy (60 min) – $123.90 + HST = $140
Personal Training (60 min) – $88.50 + HST = $100
🎓 A Personal Milestone: Osteopathy Final Exams + Research Project
I’m excited to share that I successfully passed the proposal stage of my osteopathy studies this June! This September, I’ll be writing my final exams. After that, I’ll begin the final phase: conducting and writing my clinical research project on osteopathy and diastasis recti in the postpartum population.
📅 Temporary Schedule Shift & New Sunday Appointments
To make space for writing my research project, I’ll be pausing Thursday and Friday appointments starting in September.
To support this shift:
Sunday appointments will be added based on my availability and posted the Monday prior.
I’ve expanded availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
If you don’t see a time that works, feel free to email me or join the waitlist for cancellations and new spots.
This schedule change is temporary, and I remain committed to providing the same level of personalized care.

Exciting Updates & Open Bookings!

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted, but I have some exciting news to share—my schedule is now open for bookings until June! You can easily book online at tenzintara.com

On top of that, I’m in the home stretch of my osteopathy studies—taking my last three courses of this five-year journey! I’m beyond excited to be so close to the finish line and even more excited to bring everything I’ve learned into my practice.

If you’ve ever been curious about osteopathy—how it works and how it could help you—I’d love to chat about it during your appointment! Feel free to ask any questions, and I’ll be happy to share.

Don’t worry not far 🫶🏼 I am staying in Westboro but I’ll be expanding my home practice to my OWN practice!
I will be renting a room out of Continuum Fitness at 310 Beechgrove Suite A starting January 2024🤩 My booking system is now available through my website and the link in my bio!
It’s has always been my goal to fully work for myself. And every year I get closer and closer. Every year I also learn more and more☺️
Transitions are always a little uncomfortable but I am so excited to share this journey with you all🙏🏼

Super excited to announce that I will be returning to school in the fall!
Before I became an RMT I was studying to become an osteopathic mannual practitioner at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. After 2.5 years I had to put my studies on hold when Covid entered the scene.
For those who don’t know anything about osteopathic manual therapy I am going to quote the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual practitioners.
“Osteopathy is a client-centred discipline that is based on understanding the relationship between structure and function in order to enhance the body’s inherent ability to heal. It relies on skilled manual therapeutic techniques to assess and treat the client, guiding the natural self-healing properties of the human body.”
“The philosophy of Osteopathy is based on four basic principles:

💪🏼Each structure in the body supports the body’s functions.
🌊The natural flow of the body’s fluids – lymphatic, vascular and neurological – must be preserved and maintained.
🙏🏼The human body is the sum of its parts. Its physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive systems don’t work independently - they work in harmony.
🙌🏼When the body has no restrictions, it has the inherent ability to heal itself.”

Welcome to the world of massage therapy! There are so many reasons to visit your massage therapist; first and foremost, massage plays a major role in helping reduce stress and anxiety. If you are feeling overwhelmed, a massage can help relax your muscles, reduce tension and alleviate stress. It can also provide great relief from headaches and improve your overall sense of well-being.
Additionally, massage therapy can help with muscular pain by loosening and lengthening the muscles, improving circulation and breaking up adhesions that form during exercise, injury or periods of disuse. Massage increases the range of motion, helping to move muscles more freely, which can help to alleviate pain.

Massage therapy is also beneficial for improving posture – it helps promote a better alignment of the spine and decrease muscular tension, allowing you to stand more confidently and reducing lower back pain. It may also assist with insomnia, allowing your muscles to relax and helping you get a more restful sleep.
Finally, massage is a great way to keep up with your own self-care routine and prevent any potential health issues in the future. Regular massage therapy can help improve circulation, reduce cortisol levels and increase serotonin levels – all contributing towards your overall wellbeing.

Feet 🦶
Have you ever realized how our shoes don’t really respect the shape of our natural foot?
No, it’s not normal to have to squeeze your foot into a narrow space for an extremely long period of time 🥲
Picking the right shoe for you can be overwhelming when you start to put your foot function first 😅
Start with looking for a wide enough shoe. The shoes should not be squishing any of your toes together.
Then you have to decide what time of support you need under your foot. I like to put emphasis on building the muscle of your feet strong so you don’t need to be propped up by an arch in the shoe. (Your body has built in arch support and they are called muscles 💪🏼💪🏼). BUT some people may need some support depending on other health factors.

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.” -HHDL
Arguably, one of the most important aspects of being a therapist or personal trainer is showing compassion for the clients' experience 🙏🏼
I feel so blessed and honoured that clients come in everyday and put their trust in me. It’s not a responsibility I take lightly🫶🏼
How to show compassion as a therapist or personal trainer💪🏼:
-👂🏼Listen to your clients, every word
-🙋🏻‍♀️Ask about how they are doing, not just how their injury is
-🙏🏼Check in with them throughout the treatment or session because you care about them
-🤌🏼Modify techniques or exercises when the client shows they need it because you should not be treating for personal gain you should be treating/training to help the whole person in front of you
-🤷🏻‍♀️Explain what you are doing and why. The more the client understands their body the better they can learn how to keep it healthy and happy
-🙆🏻‍♀️Give the option of home care and explain why it’ll help. Using all our tools to help our clients is our job

My wellness journey-
Like most people, my wellness journey has had its ups and downs.🤷🏻‍♀️
For a long time I struggled with poor body image. I went to extreme measures to try and fit the “dancer” stereotype but ended up finding myself being depressed that I couldn’t attain it. Then I struggled with the yo-yoing of to putting all my energy into working out, to not having the energy to work out at all🫣
I’m happy to say I am finally able to feel🥰Feel when I’m out of balance, and feel when I’m balancing perfectly on that edge. Some days I feel off and I know why! 🙌🏼And then other days, I feel off and it’s a guessing game. I have to put in effort to figure out which tool in my toolbox I should use to help myself manage better, release, or just get through the day.
If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone and on this page, I hope to share what I have learned through my journey, as well as what I have learnt through my academic and hands on courses🙏🏼

This is your friendly reminder to book in with your massage therapist 🥰 your body will thank you🙌🏼
It’s always a good idea to talk to your massage therapist about how often you should come back. Our goal isn’t to see you every week or even every month. We will recommend, what we think is best for you and your body🙏🏼
TIP* if you find yourself needing a massage, every six weeks, book in advance! You can always cancel your appointments (as long as you are respecting your therapists cancellation policy). Our schedules get busy 🫣we might not be able to book you in last minute🤷🏻‍♀️
