Developing Hands Pediatric Therapy Services provides Occupational (OT), Speech Therapy (Speech Language Pathology, SLP), Physiotherapy (PT), Behavioural Therapy, ABA/IBI, Psychotherapy and Psychology services to children in Mississauga and the surrounding cities. We provide services in our clinic, which is located at the west end of Mississauga and is conveniently close to Oakville and Milton. We

provide client/family centered assessment, treatment and consultative services at an affordable cost. We provide in-home, in-school and in-daycare Occupational Therapy Services to children in Mississauga, Milton, Oakville, Toronto, Brampton, Etobicoke, Scarborough, Richmond Hill, Halton Hills, Caledon, Vaughan, King, Newmarket, Aurora, Georgina, West Gwillimbury, Whitchurch Stouffville, Markham, Uxbridge and Pickering. We also provide in-home, in-school and in-daycare Speech Therapy Services to children in Mississauga, Etobicoke and Oakville. Some children naturally learn language in “chunks” instead of word-by-word — this is called gestalt language learning! 💬

This means they may repeat entire phrases without fully understanding each word. It’s also why echolalia (echoing words or phrases) is a common part of how they process language.

Supporting gestalt language processors means meeting them where they are — and helping them break down those “chunks” into meaningful words over time. 💙
