Mishu's Yarn

Mishu's Yarn It’s always been fun for me to make things, anything! My first project was a red and blue pot holder. I was 6 years old and in awe of what I could create!

As a child, my hands were always right in the middle of everything...you would find me gluing, taping, cutting, sewing, painting, ripping.... I was a hyper child, and I think my mom thought it would be a good idea to help keep me focused and taught me how to crochet. I loved seeing my finished project. That little pot holder went up on a hook, and we used it all the time. I have a lot of inventive ideas and love to challenge myself! Being able to change how something looks is exciting for me. Being able to make something from scratch gives me the creative outlet that I need. Creating is my therapy! I work with children and I find it fascinating to observe their reactions to the new projects I introduce. Last winter, I decided to teach them how to knit. It was interesting, and although it took them some time to get the hang of it, overall they did really well and the kids were so proud of their creations. As I watched them, I found myself wanting to make something too. I went home, it was Friday night and I was looking for something to do. I was emptying out my school bag so I decided to make myself a headband. And that’s how it all began...Mishu’s Yarn.
