The economic and social environment is changing significantly for associations and to ensure ongoing relevance, sustainability and effectiveness, the OAND will be focusing its attention on creating stability and innovation to serve its members. Creating a strong community for NDs in Ontario, ensuring ongoing high value for membership and continuing to maintain transparency with members and other stakeholders are cornerstones to strengthening the organization.

The Centennial Gala is fast approaching! The Gala will open with a Fireside Chat, moderated by television host Cheryl Hickey. Participants will explore how Naturopathic Doctors can be integrated into team-based care to address healthcare provider shortages and improve access to care for patients across Ontario. A small number of tickets are still available for this once-in-a-century celebration.

Our CEO Jennifer Joseph recently caught up with Premier Ford and had the opportunity to update him on current initiatives, such as modernizing scope of practice including our work to add OMP to the prescribing list and creating more opportunities for NDs to contribute in team-based care settings. We look forward to continuing the dialogue into the Fall with signature events such as the Centennial Gala and Advocacy Day!
