Back in January, I cut up branches from the Christmas tree, placed them in buckets and then covered them with white vinegar. After about 10 weeks, I drained the vinegar and can now use it for cleaning. The more you leave the vinegar with the pine, the stronger it gets. I love it!
Pine Vinegar Uses:
You can also add it to hot water to use to mop floors. Here are some ways to use your pine needle vinegar cleaner:
• Use it full strength or diluted to clean the bathroom.
• Mix with dish soap 1:1 to clean showers and bathtubs.
• Dilute 1:1 with water to use as an all purpose spray. Use on countertops, sinks, toilets, and other surfaces.
• Add 1/2 cup pine vinegar to a gallon of hot water to mop floors.
• Add 1/2 teaspoon pine vinegar per 4 ounces water to make an air freshener spray.
• Combine 1/3 cup pine vinegar, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, and 30 ounces of water to make a window cleaner.
• Natural insecticide: combine 100 ml of pine vinegar (can also use pure white vinegar) with 2 tbs of dish soap and 1 litre of filtered/distilled water. Spray on the back of the leaves to eliminate aphids.
