🔍 OCD vs. OCPD — What’s the Difference? 🧠
They sound similar, but they’re not the same.

💥 Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder involving unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) aimed at reducing distress.

🧱 Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCPD) is a personality disorder marked by a chronic preoccupation with order, perfectionism, and control — often seen as ego-syntonic (the person believes their way is the “right” way).

⚖️ OCD = Distressing & unwanted
🧩 OCPD = Rigid & perfectionistic, but often not seen as a problem by the person
