When it comes to making changes, we often try to skip steps to make the process go faster. Not understanding your mindset will impact whether or not you achieve what you want to. For example, if deep down, you don’t think something is going to work for you, you’re going to be less likely to stick to the process and more on the look out for evidence that it’s not working. It will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Understanding and owning your mindset means that you can make the necessary adjustments to your perspective on a challenge, before tackling it, increasing your chances of success.

Inspite of the busyness, the responsibilities, the "no time", the "waiting until", the fear, whatever is. Let's just do it this year.

No joke. This is one of the biggest mistakes I see people making when trying to improve their health. They're looking for a temporary solution to long-term problem, that requires a long-term solution.
Think of it this way. You want to lose weight, you change your diet and exercise, or maybe you find some supplements or medication to take. 4 weeks go by and you haven't lost much or any weight and you get frustrated. And you're on the verge of giving up. You're thinking how much more effort do I have to put in before I can stop doing this and go back to doing what I was doing before?!? How likely are you to reach your goal?
Here's the thing. What you doing before wasn't serving you and you probably shouldn't go back to it. "But Dr. Newry, it wasn't that bad before and it was working!" We'll times have changed, you've aged, your body is different, the algorithm has changed, and it's time for you to also.
