Most discussions about female cancers focus on genetics... but the bigger picture often overlooked is your metabolism. Elevated blood sugar, insulin resistance, and chronic inflammation silently fuel abnormal cell growth long before symptoms even appear.

Supporting your metabolic health isn’t just about weight it’s about giving your body the environment it needs to regulate hormones, reduce inflammation, and protect against cancer development.

As a naturopathic doctor, I focus on identifying these hidden drivers and giving women practical tools through nutrition, lifestyle, and lab-guided interventions to take control of their long-term health.

Your hormones are important, but your metabolism is the driver of disease.

Conventional medicine is sick care it’s designed to diagnose and manage disease once it’s already progressed.

But true health? That requires a completely different lens.

It means looking deeper at your labs beyond “normal,” your daily habits, your nutrition, your gut health, and your metabolic function long before symptoms become diagnoses.

As a naturopathic doctor, my role is to identify dysfunction early and halt the progression of illness before it becomes chronic disease.

Because here’s what most people aren’t told:

1.Chronic elevated blood sugar is one of the strongest drivers of disease in the body.
We’re now seeing overwhelming research linking insulin resistance to:
Type 2 diabetes (which is projected to become one of the leading global causes of death)

2.Cognitive decline now with Alzheimer’s often referred to as “Type 3 Diabetes” due to its strong connection to impaired glucose metabolism in the brain

3.Cancer progression this ks where high glucose and insulin levels can create an environment that fuels tumor growth

You can have “normal” labs… and still be metabolically dysfunctional.

Dont leave your health to guesswork.

Having an elevated body fat % is a key factor in hormone disruption. Fat cells are estrogenic ( the bad kind) that begins to be problematic as we gain weight.

If you are looking to "balance" your hormones the best way is to reduce elevated body fat + muscle building...this in turn will reverse metabolic markers.

Elevated body fat= increased hormone dysregulation and metabolic dysfunction

This is the fuel for chronic illness. You dont need to be obese to have sub optimal body composition and blood work

Longevity medicine isn’t some breakthrough, it’s a trendy label.

The real word is preventative medicine, doing the work to reduce your risk of disease so you don’t get sick in the first place.

We’ve been doing this for decades in naturopathic and functional medicine, long before biohacking made it sound new with cold plunges and what not.

Strip away the hype and you’re left with what actually matters, understanding your body, your habits, your terrain. That’s the work.

Labs, nutrition, lifestyle, genetics

If you want to go deeper, book a discovery call.

If your doctor isn’t checking fasting glucose, fasting insulin, and HbA1c as a woman over 35, you’re missing the full picture.

Glucose and HbA1c can look “normal,” but insulin tells you what your body is doing behind the scenes. When insulin is high, your body is compensating and that’s early insulin resistance. HOMA IR puts it together and catches this before things show up on standard labs.

Insulin resistance doesn’t stay quiet. It disrupts hormones, drives weight gain, impacts energy, and sets the stage for bigger issues.

Normal doesn’t mean optimal. If you want to understand what’s really going on, book a discovery call.

As we age we lose collagen and skin elasticity in our bodies and most inportantly in our face. Bone loss and muscle loss is a natural part of aging but add in weight loss to the mix and you can easily look older than your age.

Although my goal is to help women reverse metabolic dysfunction and decrease body fat....doing it in a way where your hair doesnt fall out, your skin doesnt sag requires strategic intervention using a deep integrative approach.

Reversing metabolic dysfunction and supporting your body throughout a fat loss process can and will take a toll on your hair skin and nails. This can be avoided using specific neutraceuticals and lifestyle tailored to your unique goals.

As women we tend to try and do it all at the expense of our well being.

I see this over and over again in clinical practice..juggling work, family all of it and thats where your body takes a toll.

Women fight through fatigue gut issues, hormonal havoc but are told everything is fine when they go see their MD.

Self care isnt spa days and and brunch its truly understandinf where your body and mind needs extra support

Whether its reducing body fat, addressing a dysbiotulic gut, healing your hormones showinf up for yourself is the first step but doing it with 1:1 support, community and individualized lab assessment.

Normal in bloodwork doesn’t mean optimal.

Well, there are grades of disease and dysfunction in the body you have to live with your whole life... you can’t just buy a new one. So why do we accept suboptimal or below-average for our health? Do you want to be “within range” or truly optimal so you feel your best? This is exactly why we go through labs and assessments in my Metabolic Program. It’s not a course — it’s structured 1:1 care with community support. After all, the biggest roadblock to healing a broken body is really accountability and support.

if this resonates with you book a discovery call and see how i can help

Why are women in their 30s asking me about HRT? Even some in their 40s.
Because things have shifted and the FDA lifted some of their warnings? Thats not a green light for HRT.

Hormone dysregulation always begins with looking at deeper aspects of your health.

Brain fog and low energy: optimize nutrient status
Belly fat and weight gain: assess blood sugar and cortisol
Gut issues: assess for stealth infections and candida
Puffy and inflammed : assess diet and movement/lymph
Irregular cycles: fix insulin

Womens health is very individuaistic. There is no one size fits all.

If your tired of being tired book a discovery call and join the metabolic reset
