"You need the healing yourself, buddy!"
— Dr. Gabor MatĆ©, after being lovingly called out by Shipibo healers in the Amazon

At Somatiq Healing, we hold space for leaders, helpers, and healers who spend their days holding space for others… but forget to hold space for themselves.

As Gabor shared from his time in Peru:
ā€œYou’ve been working with so many traumatized people you’re absorbing all that trauma, and you’ve done nothing to clear it out of yourself.ā€

Oof.
Ever felt that? Carrying so much for others, and quietly putting off your own care?

Our clinic is here for you:
The frontline worker, the therapist, the leader who’s tired of pushing through.
We’re here to help you reconnect with your body šŸ§˜šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø, your story šŸ“–, your spirit ✨.

Not to fix you.
To walk beside you as you gently remember yourself.

Because healing isn’t just for your clients.
It’s for you too.

This is somatic work.
This is sacred work.
This is leadership redefined.

✨ Healing the Past, Embracing the Present ✨

Today, a patient shared how her last hypnotherapy session led to a powerful emotional release šŸ’«. She had been feeling overwhelmed by an upcoming move, dreading the packing process without understanding why.

During our session, we journeyed back through her 68 years and revisited a pivotal childhood moment. At six years old, she saw her mother crying for the first time šŸ˜¢ā€”while packing. Though her grandmother had just passed, her young mind didn’t connect the tears to grief; instead, she associated them with packing šŸ“¦.

Through regression, we helped her bring clarity, comfort, and love šŸ’– to that six-year-old girl. Today, she called to say that packing now feels lighter, even joyful 😊. She has more energy and is genuinely looking forward to this new chapter!

🌿 Hypnotherapy is a gentle yet profound way to heal unresolved emotions from our past—especially those shaped by a child’s perspective. If you're curious about how this work can help you, reach out to learn more!

The Wisdom of a Woman’s Heart

Did you know that 40% of your heart cells are neurons—brain cells? Your heart doesn’t just pump blood; it remembers. It holds experiences, encodes emotions, and speaks in ways we often overlook.

This is why women, who are so often the emotional anchors of families, workplaces, and communities, feel deeply. The weight of unspoken struggles, the echoes of past experiences, and the quiet resilience carried through generations—it all lives within us. And sometimes, it shows up in ways we don’t expect: a heavy chest, a nervous stomach, or unexplained fatigue.

On this International Women’s Day, I want to remind every woman that your emotions, your intuition, and even your pain matter. The connection between heart, gut, and mind isn’t just poetic—it’s physiological. And the best thing we can do for ourselves and each other is to create spaces where we can talk, heal, and be heard.

Let’s honor the wisdom of our hearts and the strength of our voices. Because when women support women, we rewrite the story of resilience—not as silent endurance, but as shared healing.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what it truly means to "feel safe"—not just physically, but emotionally and psychologically. We often think of trauma as major life events, but our bodies experience small t traumas every day, which can trigger feelings of threat.
Through deeper self-awareness and a little wisdom from Dr. Gabor MatĆ©, I realized that safety isn’t just the absence of danger—it’s about trust. Trust in ourselves, trust in others, and trust in our environments.
In the workplace, trust creates psychological safety, allowing us to connect and thrive, even in high-stress situations. It's a partnership between leaders and teams—one that requires consistent effort and conscious awareness.
How do you build trust in your workplace? Are you rising to safety every day?
