"Christi's teachings and group discussions brought profound insights, highlighting how art can advocate for causes without aggression or causing harm. While listening, I created two pieces, reflecting on the symbolism of often overlooked night walkers, critters that bring value to our ecosystem. The second was a turtle with a river flowing beneath it, reflecting on clean water providing sustained life, allowing the turtle to thrive. Respectful conversations in class reminded me of the hope in connection and the power of disarming hate within ourselves and others as a form of resistance. It starts within. Connection is healing. Art is medicine."
