Peristeam for Teens' Menstrual Wellness

Did you know that peristeam (vaginal steam, yoni steam) is sometimes used in traditional wellness practices to support comfort during the menstrual cycle?

Some people find that peristeam helps them feel more relaxed and grounded. It may support:
* A sense of warmth and ease in the pelvic region
* Relief of general pelvic tension
* More awareness of cycle patterns and body literacy
* A calming, supportive self-care routine

If you are a teen or a parent of a teen and are curious about this traditional option, you can learn more in the link!

New Blog Post!“Feeling It All: The Metal Element & the Corporeal Soul in Autumn”

As the seasons turn inward, so do we.Autumn is the time of the Lungs: the organs of breath, sensation, and presence in the body.

In Chinese medicine, the Corporeal Soul (Po) lives in the Lungs. It arrives with our first breath, and leaves with our last. It’s the soul of the physical body itself.

This season also holds space for grief, the emotion of the Lungs, a natural response to loss, change, and letting go.
This short post offers an accessible introduction to the Corporeal Soul and how we can feel it more fully this time of year.

Menstrual Cycles, Perimenopause & the Power of Letting Go

What do these three have in common?
You might be surprised by the answer, we explore it in our latest blog post!

Autumn, the season of the metal element, invites us to pause, reflect, and gently ask:
- What still serves me?
- What am I ready to release?

Whether it’s the shedding of a cycle, a life phase, or old patterns — letting go can be beautiful, emotional, and necessary for growth.

TCM Autumn Health Series: Nourishing the Lungs: Breath, Sadness, and Defence

New blog post is live!

Ever notice how colds, skin issues, or waves of sadness tend to surface in the fall?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, autumn is the season of the Lungs and Large Intestine, the Metal element, linked to breath, boundaries, grief, and your body's outer defence.

This post gently explores how tuning into the rhythms of nature and living accordingly can support your immunity, emotions, and energy in this autumn.

If you've been feeling more tired, catching colds, or just a little melancholic…
it might be your body (and spirit) asking for seasonal care.

Bowel Movements, Detox Myths & the Art of Elimination

New Blog Post is live!

Let’s talk about poops, both physical and emotional.

We all know that when things get backed up… it doesn’t feel great. Discomfort, sluggishness, that “stuck” feeling.

In order to feel truly well, our body and our emotions need to keep moving.
What nourishes us should be absorbed.
What no longer serves us? Let it go.

In Chinese Medicine, the Large Intestine and Lungs (responsible for letting go physically + emotionally) are connected to Autumn and the Metal Element.

It’s the season of release.

The Spirit of Autumn: Breath, Harvest, and the Season of Letting Go

(part 1 of 6 in the Autumn Health series)

Autumn is my favourite season.
A time of rich harvest, quiet reflection, and the natural process of letting go.

Yes, it can feel a little melancholic… but that’s part of its beauty. There’s wisdom in the way we slow down, turn inward, and prepare for what’s ahead.

When you understand the why, the season feels a little softer.

Autumn is in the air.

Okay, we're still in Late Summer technically… but there's no denying that subtle changes from cooler mornings, golden light, to a hint of crispness. The transition has already begun.

Autumn is hands down my favourite season. The harvest, the fiery leaves, the grounding energy, the satisfying crunch underfoot. I love it all.

To truly honour the spirit of this season, I’m writing a 6-part blog series all about Autumn.

But before we dive into the rituals, rhythms, and beauty of this time, we start where Autumn begins in Traditional Chinese Medicine: with the Metal Element.
This intro post sets the foundation.
It’s where the season's wisdom begins.

Enjoy!
