As Bhagwad Geeta says:

“For those who have conquered the mind, it is their friend. For those who have failed to do so, the mind works like an enemy” (Chapter 6, verse 6)

It’s all in the mind, whether it’s abundance, peace, love, happiness, contentment, feeling fortunate OR it’s scarcity, discontentment, unhappiness, worry, stress, or feelings unfortunate.

Same situation can make someone feel blessed and the other sad and stressful. It’s all about our own mindset and attitude.

What we get in our lives are beyond our control but how we react and see everything around us absolutely depends on our own mindset and attitude.

The situation around cannot be changed but a nurtured and positive mindset will make the same situation blessed and life easier.

So make it a priority to nurture and strengthen your mind with meditation, satsang, and positive associations around you.

Here’s presenting all about “Sattvic (yogic)” pattern of eating as requested by some of you during our celebration.

Once again this is to thank you all for joining in to celebrate and giving me an opportunity to serve you 🙏🏻🤗🙏🏻

As per , all the activities we do are categorized into three modes i.e. “ ”(mode of goodness), “rajasic” (mode of passion), and “tamasic” (mode of ignorance) affecting our state of because we all know that yoga is not only limited to our physical health as it also nurtures our mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

However, for the purpose of this post and your request, I’ll be talking about pattern of eating.

As per yoga, food not only provides for the body for our physical health but also nourishes and energizes our minds helping to uplift ourselves spiritually, mentally, and, emotionally.

Saatvic diet or is based on foods with qualities of “Sattva”. is the quality of goodness, purity, positivity, clarity, truth, serenity, balance, peacefulness, and virtuousness following “dharma” (duty) and “gyan” (knowledge). Hence, with qualities of Sattva emphasizes upon non violence, conscious, and pure eating. This means it is not just a vegetarian diet but also is mindfully home cooked and eaten with a pure/positive state of mind to be able to have high energy, happy, peaceful, and a calm state of mind.

It is rightly said “You are what you eat”.

So, if I want to have divinity, clarity, purity, peace, and happiness i.e. Saatvic state mind, I will have to have Saatvic food. I can not have tamasic (mode of ignorance) or rajasic (mode of passion) food and expect to have a Saatvic state of mind.

Saatvic foods include whole grains, beans, legumes, sprouts, nuts, seeds, seasonal vegetables/fruits, jaggery, honey, and dairy.

You don’t have to believe me, honestly, experiment it yourself for 21 days or just start with one week to begin with and see for yourself because spirituality is all about experimenting and experiencing, and not belief, just like science.

Sincere gratitude to all those who joined in to to celebrate this special day for yoga with all of us. Thank you all for your love for the practice. I sincerely admire your dedication for which is my driving force and is my source of inspiration to continue to teach 🙏🏻 ❤️🙏🏻

Happy Women’s Day 💃

This is called power up your plate with plant protein!!

This super simple, quick, high protein and high fibre delicious meal made with minimal, inexpensive, and easily available ingredients is truly a delight, especially with food prices sky rocketing now a days.

Let’s talk about the ingredients. Let me begin with one and you guess the rest 🙂

Taco is filled with high protein extra firm tofu.

The chocolate pudding/mousse is again high in prt with no sugar, and no flour added added (isn’t it amazing): Can you guess the star ingredient here.

Ok The last one: let me give you a hint: I know you all are guessing it to be avocado guacamole but it’s not. Again it is made with another easily available high protein and high fibre star ingredient. Can you think of one?

This kind of feedback from my students is an assurance that by God’s grace I am able to contribute and touch people’s lives positively.

This in fact is my source of inspiration and keeps me going, getting better each moment just so I could transfer the same energy in my sessions.

Join me for your yoga practice online from the comfort of your home twice or once a week.

We don’t have to wait for day to be thankful. We need to have that attitude of each moment in our lives to be able to experience the that we all are blessed with.

Let’s talk about miseries today as to what are some of the causes of miseries in our lives. I have learnt and realized that miseries are majorly caused by the following 3 E’s:
- or I should say false ego: This is THE big one, or in fact the biggest one. So what is ego? It is the ignorance of the awareness of the true self and identification/attachment to the false self leading to attachments with any related associates in the form of things, people, places, and situations. Lol, sounds too heavy, right 😀 Remember though that this is why the spiritual journey begins with the enquiry and search of “Who am I”?
- from people around, situations around, or expectations of the results from our own karmas/actions are definitely going to cause miseries
- Endless Material Desires in the quest of seeking happiness will have to eventually lead to miseries
Can you think of any other causes in addition to the above 🤔🤔?

Now what could be some of the strategies to attain long-lasting and permanent ? I am not talking about temporary pleasures here which we get after we do something to please our senses. I am able to come up with again the following three strategies:
- Satsang: Sat means truth and sang means association. This is the most important of all. Only satsang can help us understand the difference between truth and illusion to help us release our attachments and find peace within
- Smile, smile, and smile as much as you can, as and when you can remember. This helps bring us in the gratitude filled present moment, away from the stresses of past and anxieties of the future. Try consciously and you will be amazed to see that you can’t be in the negative anxieties from past or uncertainties of future with an aware smile. This is the power of smile 😊

Came up with my tried and tested 4 G formula of happiness. Lol not that 4 G without which we can not manage our lives in today’s time. These 4 Gs provide bigger and permanent happiness.

Feeling of:
- [ ] Grace
- [ ] Gratitude
- [ ] Good meditation
- [ ] Give (especially happiness to others as it is rightly said, you get what you give)
I have realized that if these four are practiced regularly, no outside triggers can take away your peace and happiness within. Even if the outside triggers somehow manage to do so, it is very very temporary and you come back to yourself self soon.

How about miseries, where do they come from? Any thoughts?

I am doing my contemplation and will come up with that too. Stay tuned.

New year, new thoughts, new plans, new resolutions, new resolves, and new programs!!

Have you guys heard of or tried face yoga before? Would love to hear from you if you have tried practicing it before.

Like we need to do asanas/postures to tone and strengthen our body, similarly face yoga postures help tone and strengthen our facial muscles to help us age more gracefully.

If this is something that interests you, join me for one weekly session which also includes related practices along with a small and some to not only help strengthen your facial muscles but also to help calm your mind. As it is said, “face is a reflection of what is in the mind”. So give it a sincere thought and try in this new year.
