Blue and red inks are known for being some of the more difficult tattoo pigments to remove, which is why treatment planning matters.
Because this client has a known allergy to red ink, her first and second sessions were performed using only the 1064nm wavelength across the entire tattoo to gradually debulk carrier pigments within the red and green areas before directly targeting them.
At her third session, we were able to safely begin treating the black, red, and green pigments all together using the PicoWay by Candela.
This progressive approach helped support a more controlled healing response without overwhelming the immune system, while still achieving beautiful fading throughout the tattoo.
