On Saturday evening, we attended Winter Feast at Harbour Front Center in Downtown Toronto, where the fire show was a highlight. However, the limited food stalls offered few vegetarian options, prompting us to try the Indian Roti/Dosa House across the road.
The establishment had a few tables and chairs, but we were required to order and pay at the counter. We ordered Plain Dosa, Mix Veg, and Nan, which were served in containers and food had to be picked up from the counter. Basically a takeout establishment with no service; even water had to be purchased.
The dosa was good so was the coconut chutney, but the sambar was disappointing, being watery, cold, and flavorless. The Mix Veg was primarily composed of chole and potato, with a few pieces of cauliflower and carrot, making it barely palatable. The Nan was not freshly cooked and seemed to be from a store and warmed up on a tawa.
Although prices were low, so was the food quality and service.
