Facial acupuncture is not a cosmetic trend.

It is a clinical practice rooted in traditional Chinese medicine.

At a local level, fine needles create a controlled micro-trauma in the skin. This activates fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, supporting improvements in skin texture, tone, and firmness over time.

At a systemic level, the treatment works through the same principles as traditional acupuncture: regulating the body’s physiological response, addressing constitutional patterns, and supporting the organ systems that influence skin health from within.

The most lasting results come when the skin is supported from both directions: local tissue stimulation through needling, and internal support through nutrition, botanical medicine, or supplementation.

Most women expect perimenopause to start with hot flashes. Sometimes it can but it usually doesn’t.

Subtle signs often appear first—in your late 30s or 40s:

💤Sleep you can’t sustain past 2-4am

😰Anxiety that feels unfamiliar

🧠Brain fog stealing your edge

🩸Periods that suddenly don’t follow the rules

These can get dismissed as stress or burnout. But there’s often a hormonal shift behind them.

Swipe to see 5 signs/symptoms worth noticing (and their hormonal drivers).

Bloating after every meal is common, but it’s not normal.

One possible cause is low stomach acid.

When stomach acid is too low, food may not break down as efficiently. It can sit in the stomach longer than it should, which may contribute to gas, fullness, and bloating.

That said, this is only one piece of the puzzle. Bloating can have many different causes.

If you’re dealing with persistent bloating, it deserves a proper workup. You’re not alone and you don’t have to just live with it.
