When: Nov 21st, 2024
Located: Unit C1 - 450 8th Street, Courtenay, BC
Duration: 1 - 3pm

Comox Seniors Support provides a once per month opportunity for senior members of the community to meet in a friendly, supportive environment where they can interact with, receive from, and give support, to other seniors who are experiencing similar feelings. The grieving journey is complicated and misunderstood, exhausting and sometimes not well received by those who have not experienced it. Join us in safe and supportive gatherings.

Grief is all around us, and many of our seniors are grieving …alone. “Once the death happens, friends disappear”
We do our best to change that perspective by being present with our group members and offering a safe space to connect.

It ought to be so simple. Wrapping our dead in a cloth and giving them gently back to the earth. In this complicated, crazy world this simple act of natural burial ought to be easy, accessible, inexpensive and available to all of us.

Join us
Every two months we gather for a virtual session to share news, updates, and conversations about Green/Natural/Conservation Burial in British Columbia with a particular focus on, but not exclusive to communities beyond the lower mainland.

Join us on JANUARY 25th, 7pm PST
with SPECIAL GUEST Cathy Valentine of Salt Spring Island Natural Cemetery. Cathy will walk us through a natural burial ceremony with photographs & commentary.
