This form of Shiva represents the eternal cycle of creation & destruction. With each movement, he destroys the illusion of separation, creating space for renewal & awakening. 🔱

Oneness with the Universe is the highest Truth. Through the repetition of this sacred mantra, we can experience this Unity ourselves. In that space, that which no longer serves us falls away, opening our hearts to greater joy, love, and compassion.

Welcome! For those who don’t know us, we are Dylan & Laurencia of Shakti Rising - two dear friends, sharing music and walking the spiritual path.

Three years ago, we attended an evening of Kirtan in Vancouver, BC. This experience profoundly effected us, forever altering the trajectory of our lives.

The mantra called to us, drawing us deeper within. Together, we explored the healing potential of sacred sound through devotional practice. It is through the repetition of the mantra that allows one to uncover deeper layers of stillness, joy and healing.

We opened a Yoga Shala on Salt Spring Island, offering Kirtan at various venues; holding a sacred space for community to gather and offer their unique voice.

These days, we’ve been focusing on recording our music. Our unique sound blends folk instruments and melodies with the ancient mantra. This practice connects us with the Divine that dwells within each and every one of us. It is our greatest joy and privilege to share this practice, allowing others to experience the Light of their true Being.

We’re excited to unveil our first EP this Friday, June 23! This release features 4 sacred mantras for you to chant along to. It is our prayer that this music touches your heart and awakens something deep within. ⚡️
