Just getting started with your weights workout? Let’s try some movements together. Work slowly with precision, start with a small manageable weight, and skip anything that doesn’t feel right for your body. Try for twelve repetitions of each movement.

😎❤️ Are you planning a vacation soon? Here are some tips to make sure you’re getting your workouts in:

😎 Make a plan, set a time. Whether it’s an outdoor hike or a visit to the hotel gym, put it in your calendar and make it happen.

😎 Take your gear with you. Deflate your small ball and pop it in your suitcase. A stretchy band will even fit in your carry on.

😎 Use what’s handy. I love a good picnic table workout!
Here’s the plan:
- 5 minute warm up
- 6 moves, one minute each, twice through.
- 5 minutes cool down and stretch.
- You’ll be done in less than 30 minutes.

😀 Reposting one of my favorite workouts from March of this year, just because it’s a fun series that I enjoy.

😀 It’s SO important to find activities that you love. You’re more likely to be consistent, and you’ll get better results.

😀 Here are three ways to add more fun to your workouts:
😀 Add a prop; balls, weights, and stretchy bands are all readily available and affordable options.
😀 Find a community and join in - a hiking group, a walking club, or an online YouTube class - whatever sounds interesting to you.
😀 Take up a new sport, or reconnect with one you enjoyed in the past.

❤️👍 Here’s a TOTAL BODY workout, reposted from December 5th. Try each move for 30 seconds, testing for 10 seconds in between moves. Repeat the entire series three times through.

❤️👍 Trainer’s Tip: Warm up and cool down are essential. Be sure to include at least five minutes of each.

🦋 Here’s some good news: you don’t have to lie down on your mat to work your core! Try this functional kneeling set instead. You’ll improve your balance and overall body strength, without compromising your neck and lower back. Enjoy, and have a Terrific Tuesday!

🦋 Movement Menu
🦋 With your arms extended from your shoulders, reach your hand toward the floor beside you. Tuck your abdominals, and keep the foot of your extended leg firmly planted on the floor.
🦋 With arms overhead, curve your torso laterally. Imagine there’s a wall behind you.
🦋 Add a rotation to the last movement. Keep your spine and extended leg long, and your shoulders down away from your ears.
🦋 Gently move your torso from side to side, feeling a delicious stretch through your rib cage!
🦋 Repeat on your second side.

🦋 Trainer’s Tips: Think “long and strong” throughout your entire body as you perform this set.
🦋 Listen carefully to your body; stay in a range of motion that’s comfortable for you.
🦋 Breathe, breathe, breathe!
🦋 If your supporting knee is unhappy, cushion it with a soft towel, or fold your mat underneath it.

⭕️ Here’s a mobility flow to increase your spinal flexibility and your core strength.

⭕️ Do as many reps as your body wants. Don’t forget to repeat on your second side.

⭕️ Use your best posture; to activate your core muscles, pretend you’re zipping up your coat. Keeping your shoulders low, reach and stretch; think of that core as a powerful engine that drives every movement.

⭕️ Do as many reps as you body wants and needs. Be sure to repeat on your second side.

⭕️ No magic circle? No problem. Use a ball or a pillow instead.
