From the chapter on Interpersonal mindfulness..."Mindfulness is an innate human ability to focus the mind on the body and body sensations. It is a practise because, although it is natural, we often lose ourselves in thoughts, worries, planning for the future or fussing about the past, so we lose sight of the present moment."
