TURNING PAIN INTO PURPOSE
Except from my book, "Turning Pain Into Purpose:"
An Invitation to the Journey.
This book was not written quickly.
It was lived.
It emerged through seasons of loss and transition, through questions that did not resolve neatly,
and through faith that learned how to trust without certainty. It took shape slowly, the way
healing often does, one insight at a time, one quiet realization after another.
If you are holding this book, there is a good chance life has shifted for you in some way.
Perhaps you’ve experienced a loss others don’t fully see.
Perhaps a role, relationship, or season has ended, even if the world expects you to “move on.”
Perhaps your faith has deepened, softened, or changed shape.
Perhaps you are standing at the edge of a new chapter without a clear map forward.
This book is for those moments.
It is for the space between who you were and who you are becoming.
For the seasons when healing feels slow.
For the quiet work of letting go and learning again how to trust life, faith, and yourself.
You will not find quick answers here.
You will find companionship.
These pages are meant to be read gently, not rushed. Some chapters may meet you exactly
where you are. Others may be for a later season. You are free to pause, reflect, return, or skip
ahead. There is no right pace for this journey.
What you will find woven throughout is this truth:
Pain does not have to be wasted.
Healing does not have to be hurried.
And purpose often emerges not in spite of what we’ve lived, but because of it.
This book is not about fixing your life.
It is about honoring it.
It is about listening more deeply - to your heart, your body, your faith, and the quiet invitations
that arise after change. It is about learning how healing becomes wisdom, how wisdom becomes service, and how service becomes a legacy that is lived, not performed.
If at any point you feel seen, understood, or less alone, then this book is doing what it was meant to do.
Take your time.
Let what resonates stay with you.
Release what doesn’t.
You are not late.
You are not behind.
And you are not meant to walk this chapter alone.
Welcome to the journey.
