Spooky season is upon us, and as much fun as it is to dress up and get candy, there are lots of ways Halloween can be stressful for those with communication, social, or sensory differences. From the change in routine to the costumes and scary decorations, unfamiliar communication partners, loud noises and harsh lighting, the evening can become more tricky than a treat!

Come join our fun, safe, and not-too-spooky Halloween event where your family can dress up in your favorite costumes and enjoy a positive holiday experience.

🖤Chelsea Kunitz - BCR, MSLP (R), SLP(C), CCC-SLP

Chelsea has worked with individuals across the lifespan, but has dedicated the past 10 years to children with special needs. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wyoming in 2019 and since then, she has been delivering services to a wide variety of preschool-aged children as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Chelsea’s areas of expertise include teletherapy, ASD, Phonology, and language development.

Chelsea grew up in Airdrie and came home to work in her community.
🖤 Sheelagh Schulze -BSC. SLP, MSLP (R), SLP(C), PROMPT Cert.

Sheelagh has spent 30 years working with children and their families to address speech and communication delays. She is PROMPT Certified and specializes in Motor Speech Disorders (CAS), and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Sheelagh is skilled in assessment in all areas of Speech and Language Therapy.

Sheelagh and her husband live in Airdrie with their two daughters.
🖤 Jacelyn Benner- BEd, MSLP (R), SLP (C)

Jacelyn is a certificated teacher with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. She has practiced as an SLP since 1996, working with children with a variety of delays in communication. Jacelyn passionately believes in fostering communication skills as a means of enriching social relationships, literacy skills and self esteem.

Jacelyn and her husband are proudly raising 2 amazing young men.
