Oneness Education Foundation Appoints Dr. Misba Ruman as CEO of Saskatchewan Chapter!!
The Oneness Education Foundation (OEF), a federally registered charitable organization, is excited to announce the establishment of its Saskatchewan chapter to address a pressing need: supporting Internationally Trained Healthcare Professionals (IEHPs) in overcoming barriers to integration while strengthening Canadaโs healthcare system.
Saskatchewan holds a special place in the history of Canadian healthcare as the birthplace of Medicare, a vision championed by Tommy Douglas, the โFather of Medicare.โ OEF is proud to continue this legacy by ensuring that all Canadians have access to high-quality care, driven by a compassionate, skilled, and inclusive healthcare workforce.
To lead this mission, OEF is proud to appoint Dr. Misba Ruman as the CEO of its Saskatchewan chapter. A highly accomplished healthcare professional, Dr. Ruman is an MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and an internationally trained dentist who practiced in India and the Middle East before moving to Canada. She transitioned into roles as a Registered Dental Assistant and Treatment Coordinator, leveraging her profound expertise in dentistry and dental insurance systems in Canada. Her professional associations with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and the Canadian Red Cross Society further underscore her deep commitment to healthcare excellence.
Since 2019, Dr. Ruman has dedicated herself to supporting Internationally Trained Dentists (ITDs) in their journey toward licensing in Canada. Her leadership, mentorship, and vast network of dental professionals have been instrumental in providing ITDs with motivation, guidance, and strategies to navigate key exams such as the Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge (AFK) and Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT).
Dr. Ruman has also cultivated online communities that have become invaluable hubs for collaboration, information-sharing, and support for ITDs and startups in the dental field. These communities have helped countless professionals overcome challenges, access resources, and succeed in their career pathways.
As CEO of the Saskatchewan chapter, Dr. Ruman will lead initiatives aimed at eliminating barriers for healthcare professionals, creating sustainable pathways for their success, and advancing OEFโs mission of fostering unity and excellence in healthcare. By doing so, OEF strives to honor Tommy Douglas's vision of a healthcare system that serves everyone with equity and compassion.
The Oneness Education Foundation warmly welcomes Dr. Misba Ruman to this vital leadership role and celebrates her exceptional dedication to this extraordinary mission. Together, we look forward to building a future where healthcare professionals are equipped to make meaningful contributions to their families, communities, and the Canadian healthcare system.
