Happy Canada Day!! šØš¦šØš¦ā¤ļøā¤ļø
I have been teaching yoga since 2006 and have over 1,000 hours and counting of training. I recognize that everyone is unique, so I focus on function, not form.

A fellow yoga teacher and friend, Sharon Smith-Carter, suggested I attend a Yin Yoga Training with Paul Grilley, as having attended a workshop herself, had come away with a good impression and was inspired by Paulās work. Feeling that I had enough to learn and understand about what I then considered to be ātraditionalā yoga, I was initially resistant to learning about a ānewā yoga, but did eventually attend a week-long workshop in 2012. By day two I was totally intrigued and blown away by the practice and Paulās teaching. The whole āYinā premise turned my original understanding of yoga postures upside down and despite feeling like a fish out of water, I realized that what Paul and Suzee were teaching made perfect sense. By the end of the week I felt like I had started the journey āhome ā in my yoga practice and understanding. There was a great deal more to learn (and still is) and I went on to do a further 200 hours of Yin Yoga Training with Paul and Suzee over two years. Now, a full Yin convert, this practice has saved me physically and emotionally many times, and I continue my learning and practice with joy and enthusiasm. I look forward to sharing Yin Yoga with all who are interested in developing and maintaining a healthy body and mind. I send deep gratitude to Sharon Smith Carter, and Paul and Suzee for helping to show me the way.
