Our Eating Disorder Support for Moms and Birthing People (Pregnancy-4 Years Postpartum) is a virtual peer-led support group is designed for moms and birthing people in the perinatal period (from pregnancy up to 4 years after birth) who are currently experiencing or have experienced eating disorders. No formal diagnosis is required to join.

We welcome individuals navigating all forms of disordered eating, including restrictive patterns, compensatory behaviors, overexercising, obsessive over food and body thoughts, rigid thoughts and beliefs around food and body, excessive concerns about health, compulsive body checking and weighing, constant food noise and distressing thoughts about body. The postpartum period—and life with young children—can bring unique challenges that make recovery and self-care even more complex. This group offers a brave, judgment-free space to connect with others who truly understand.

Whether you’re considering recovery or have been in recovery for some time, you are welcome here. Together, we share stories, resources, and encouragement—with the goal of reducing isolation and building hope.

✨ Is it PPD, PPA, or POCD? ✨
Perinatal mental health challenges can look different for every parent. While postpartum depression is more widely recognized, many also experience perinatal anxiety or perinatal OCD—and each one is temporary, treatable, and deserves support. 💙

This OCD Awareness Week, let’s break the stigma and raise awareness about perinatal OCD—marked by intrusive thoughts, compulsions, and hypervigilance—that can feel overwhelming but is treatable with the right help.

You are not alone. Healing is possible. 🌸

Islanders reminded to be prepared during hurricane season.

Heavy rain, sustained winds, storm surge, flooding, and power outages are all things that can be expected during a hurricane or tropical storm.

The PEI Emergency Management Organization (EMO) wants to remind everyone that Atlantic Hurricane Season remains underway, and the best response to these events is proper emergency planning.

Helpful reminders when planning for an emergency include:

👉making a household emergency plan to help everyone know what to do in case of emergency;
👉updating your preparedness kits, including extra food, pet supplies, water, masks and hygiene products;
👉bringing in or tying down furniture, play equipment, barbeques or anything that can become projectiles in the event of high winds;
👉ensuring you have fuel for generators and vehicles, as well as propane for outdoor cooking devices such as barbeques;
👉replacing batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide alarms; and
👉keeping up with the latest information from reliable sources such as following PEI Government, local media, and law enforcement social media channels.

The SOGC’s recent position statement reaffirming the safety of acetaminophen use during pregnancy was featured in a CBC News article covering new U.S. government moves to add warnings linking Tylenol to autism.

The SOGC notes that acetaminophen remains a safe and appropriate option for managing fever and pain in pregnancy when used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest necessary time. It also stresses that untreated fever poses its own risks and that the current evidence does not support a causal link between acetaminophen and autism.

Every year, stillbirthday has a Hearts Release. A time to handscribe our beloved babies' names onto teeny, degradable Hearts that later can grow into flowers. And every year, a unique focus always organically emerges. Quite like our own experiences, we do share some universal, global qualities of grief, anguish, and love. We also too, hold portions of our stories that are uniquely ours, not needed to be understood or even seen by others.

The 2025 Hearts Release is not held in one specific location this year. Instead, this year, we will have time to hold our Hearts more personally, and then we each can Release in a place, a time, a way that is more uniquely ours.

The way we are coordinating this right now:

01.) Please email heidi.faith@stillbirthday.com.

02.) Please share with me your best mailing address.

03.) Please know I will read each message personally and tenderly. All I'll need to bring your Heart to you is your best mailing address, but please feel welcome to use that time to share anything else you'd like to with me. You will get to handscribe onto your own Heart, the name, nickname, or note in honor of your beloved babies.

04.) Please be patient and please stay connected here to our page. I will not be able to meaningfully and promptly reply to each one, so I will not reply directly to most, just to conserve everyone's bandwidth. I anticipate needing to restock on supplies and there will therefore be shipping delays as well. There is no guarantee that every request will be fulfilled, but my own heart is to achieve as close to that meaningful goal as possible.

It is an honor to be on this journey with you.

With Love,
Heidi Faith
stillbirthday founder
