I’m very clear on my mission now.

I want my children to grow up in a world where they’re okay if not everyone likes them.

Where they don’t feel like they have to stand out to fit in—or fit in to belong.

Where they feel safe in their bodies regardless of what’s happening around them.

Where they can create a life… and have the courage to pivot when it no longer feels aligned.

I know you want this for your children too.

As parents, we want to give our kids what we didn’t have. We want to break patterns and pass on the wisdom we’ve gathered along the way.

In my work with children and families over the past 20 years, I was often brought in to teach skills like emotional regulation, communication, and psychological flexibility.

And the kids? They were open. Willing. Resilient. They learned quickly.

But they would often meet a wall.

They were returning to environments where those skills weren’t being modeled or supported.

The adults in their world were never taught how to regulate their emotions, how to move beneath anger, or how to express their needs without projection.

And that’s when I realized:
The change starts with us.

We can only meet our children at the depth we’ve met ourselves.

We can only hold space for their emotions, their challenges, their failures… to the extent that we’ve learned to hold our own.

If we want our children to handle stress, we have to learn how to handle stress. If we want them to regulate their emotions, we need to look at where we’re being called to grow.

This isn’t about something being wrong with you.

It’s about putting our egos aside and choosing to embody the world we want our kids to live in.

To be anchored in who you are. Trusting yourself no matter what life brings. Choosing alignment over approval. Creating a life that feels both successful and deeply fulfilling.

Because the world you want your children to live in…
starts with you.

First within you.
Then within your home.
Then within everything you touch.

When your Joy is non negotiable, you don’t depend on other people to feel it- you go out there and create it yourself !

I spent my twenties outsourcing my power- finding reasons why other people made me feel frustrated, annoyed, grateful or at peace.

But the truth is- that’s an inside job.

And when I took responsibility for how I wanted to feel, the kind of woman I wanted to be and how I wanted to live my life, it meant some things needed to change- starting with my Ego.

I spent my 30’s decoding where I let my ego lead - the need to be right, holding onto resentment, reacting out of frustration, building walls and calling them boundaries ….and taking ownership that I chose the feelings that came with all of that; resentment, frustration, burnout, shame.

But I also let my 30’s be the decade that softened me, that shaped me, that built me up to make moves and achieve things 20 year old me never thought were possible.

Feminine energetics changed the game for me. It changed how I viewed myself and my life. When I changed how I viewed my life, my life began to change.

This is the truth of transformation. It begins with awareness, is created by choice and is amplified by consistency.

I didn’t know who this version would become- I just knew that version I was, wasn’t working for me anymore.

Now, turning 40, I don’t just talk about alignment — I live it, I lead from it, and I hold it as a standard. That’s the essence of Soulfully Connected.

I just had the most amazing takeoff to my birthday week 💖

A while back, I noticed my best friend had a new bag. In conversation I told her I loved it and that I’ve been wanting a black bag for myself for some time.

Then fast forward months later to my 40th birthday…she surprised me by bringing me to Michael Kors and saying….pick whatever you want!

My jaw dropped.
My heart exploded.

Why? I asked.

Her response was, Because you don’t know how much you’ve impacted my life and I want you to know how special you are to me.

Now, I’m not sharing this to brag about what I got. Because it’s not even about the value of the gift itself.

It’s the value of what this relationship has given me.

There was a time I questioned how I could be so worthy of a friend like her. She has an incredible heart and a gift to see the true good in people.

I struggled because these were qualities I didn’t always see in myself, or others for that matter. But she saw them in me long before I did.

Over time and deep inner work Ive come to know that God brought her into my life to mirror something. To mirror me a part of myself that I had been denying for a long time. That I am good, that I am worthy of beautiful relationships, of love and receiving.

I’m sharing this because I used to often say how blessed I was when describing certain relationships, like it was a one way street. Like I was the only one receiving the blessings of my relationships but we truly don’t know the impact we can have on someone’s life.

She mirrors to me the parts of myself I didn’t always see and I mirror to her the power within her. Together we show the other the gifts within ourselves.

This post isn’t just about a purse.

It’s an evidence that our relationships are mirrors.
Mirrors of where there is still learning for us to do.
Mirrors of the potential inside of us asking to be activated.
Mirrors of a reminder of who we truly are- even when we don’t always believe it ourselves.

When you show up in your life as the true you, guard down, open heart, in genuine truth of that relationship, that frequency of truth is reflected right back to you- in so many different ways.

When you show up in service, it stops being about just You and starts becoming US.

You realize you are part of something bigger, something whole.

You are part of a collective.

We are meant to live in connection with one another.

Hate, anger, fear only drive separation. This is what drives the belief that you are owed something, that you are separate from what’s happening in the world and that you are entitled to take from a space, a person or a community.

When you lead from a lens of “what can I contribute here” instead of “what can I get out of this” you open your heart, to something neutral, to love, to impact.

We all want the same thing at the end of the day. That is to feel seen, to feel loved and to feel like you belong and the only way to do that is to see others, to love others, and to open your heart and let others belong to you.

Today marks the season of rebirth, renewal and restoration. Today I am reminded that I am surrounded by love, abundant in life and grateful for all that I have been given.

Whether you follow Christ’s lead or Mother Nature’s, let this season remind you that today we celebrate the victory of life over death, light over darkness and hope over despair.

May this season strengthen your faith, deepen your trust and multiply your commitment to live in alignment with your heart.
