Some students are not welcome in our schools.  Other students are invited to attend school for 30 minutes each day.  Others still can only come if a family member can provide support. Students who are at school are expected to manage without the support they are entitled to. Our schools and our go...

🎄Have you had the chance to visit Woody this year?

Woody is a towering Christmas tree at Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. His eyes and mouth can open and shut. Woody makes an appearance in the winter months to relay Christmas lists and messages to Santa.

A GEL Member and Program Leader headed out to Mic Mac Mall to tell Woody what they want for Christmas this year and to get a closer look.

🤔 GEL Member, JW wondered if the tree was real or fake (due to its large size) and we came to the conclusion that the tree itself is fake, but the realness about Woody is the smiles and sense of wonder he brings to those around him! ✨

This year, Woody gifted our Member and staff with tiny pine trees to help the environment and his tree planting mission 🌱 Our plan is to foster the growth of these plants indoors until they are ready to go outside and be planted at the GEL House!
