Dear Woman,
Don't strive to live up to a self image you have created in your head. Even the best painter, if hired to paint you a self portrait, it would still be a portrait and not the real you. If you caught yourself with the need to please.
If you became aware that you want to do the right thing all the time, and you became afraid of making any mistakes. Dig deeper, where is this need to please coming from? Is it that you were striving for unconditional love from your parents and you felt that you can only get it if you lived up to "the good girl image" all the time?
My dear child, it's only an image. Don't protect so much. It's not the real you. Make mistakes, apologize, learn from them, and move on. Don't live your life out of fear. If you are afraid to live, that's the worst kind of fear
