Lately I’ve been learning how heavy it is to hold truth in a house that wasn’t built to hear it.
And how much strength it takes to walk through something quietly,
with people watching who will never understand the cost of staying,
or the courage it takes to finally leave.
I’ve been going through a season that has rearranged me.
A season that demanded clarity, boundaries, and a kind of self-respect I didn’t know I’d have to grow this quickly.
And the hardest part hasn’t been the transition itself—
it’s been doing it surrounded by people who’d rather I stay silent,
or small,
or palatable.
I won’t be sharing details.
Not because I’m hiding anything,
but because I’m protecting my peace while I rebuild it.
Some stories are sacred while they’re still unfolding.
Some truths deserve to be held close until the dust settles.
What I will say is this:
I’m choosing myself.
I’m choosing stability.
I’m choosing environments that don’t ask me to shrink or disappear.
I’m choosing a future where honesty isn’t punished and where peace doesn’t require self-abandonment.
If you’re walking through something similar—quietly, privately, carefully—
I see you.
You’re not alone.
You’re not dramatic.
You’re not difficult.
You’re awakening.
And even if not everyone will understand your journey,
it doesn’t make it any less real.
Here’s to closing chapters with grace,
opening new ones with courage,
and remembering that self-respect is a whole love story on its own.
