Unspoken Social Rules You Should Know......

1. Don't interrupt when someone is talking.

2. Don't judge someone by their appearance. Many people have missed opportunities as a result of it.

3. Always respect someone's personal space.

4. Never assume something about someone. Talk to them if you care.

5. Apologize when you're wrong. Ego never adds anything valuable to you. Rather it subtracts.

6. Don't talk badly about someone behind their back. It is a way of telling the audience you will do the same about them.

7. Be honest, even if it's hard. And say No when it is not comfortable to you, even if it hurts.

8. Don't gossip or spread rumours, even on social media.

9. Don't stare or make inappropriate comments about people.

10. Treat others how you want to be treated.

11. Offer help when you can, but do not be compelled to do so.

12. Don't let your anger control your actions.

Thank you so much for Reading through....

Overcoming IELTS Procrastination

January this year, you promised to take the IELTS exam in February but you postponed the date to march because you were not fully prepared. It’s August and you still don’t feel prepared enough to sit for the English test.

Guess what?
- You can never be 100% ready to take an English test that is assessed based on technical capabilities.

- Expecting to be 100% ready to take the test is the reason many people have procrastinated to date.

Taking the world's most recognized English proficiency exam (IELTS) can open doors that can turn your life around positively.

Whether you are applying for:
- Study visa abroad
- Work visa abroad
- Permanent residency abroad

You need an English proficiency test to scale your application to a higher level. So procrastinating to take the test will further hinder your travel dreams from coming to actualization soonest.

An effective strategy to tackle procrastination.

- Check for available test dates in the coming months from .ng
- Pick a date 3-4 weeks from now
- Register (You don’t need your passport. You can now register with your NIN Slip)
- Make payment even if you have not opened any study materials
- Once your test date draws closer and you know your registration payment is non-refundable, you will be compelled to take your study seriously and prioritize passing the Exam.

HOW TO EARN MASSIVELY IN THE UK. 🇬🇧

Yesterday, I made a post about my mentee who is currently working as a doctor and earning £55 per hour (N300k per day, after tax) and a couple of persons expressed disbelief at the figure. 😊 What these persons don't know is that there are nurses earning £50 per hour in the UK and some doctors earning as high as £120 per hour! People that know, know. I understand that it is a Nigerian thing to keep everything 'hush hush' and not show people the way, but we have decided to do things differently. To lay everything bare so people can know the pros and cons and make informed choices about their lives.

In this post, I will try to break down how you can earn massively in the UK. The same may apply if you are working in other countries like US, Canada or Australia.

Here are the 3 things that can accelerate your earnings and help you achieve financial independence abroad.

1. GETTING PAID PER HOUR.
This is the first secret. Persons who earn per hour often tend to make more money than persons who are paid salary at the end of the month. This is why a lot of contract or locum staff make huge earnings while 'permanent staff' on salaries struggle to make ends meet. Note, being a locum and earning such huge pay has its downsides - may not help in Career progression as it can have you jumping from job to job. However, there is a smart way to go about this - you can take the necessary exams qualifying you for the next step in your career and jump from one job to a higher paying job in the shortest possible time.

2. NOT NEEDING A WORK VISA
My mentee that I wrote about yesterday is on Tier 4 student visa. Being a doctor, he is allowed to work full-time. Since he is covered by the student visa and has right to work, he can freely do locum and get paid per hour. This is also the case for persons who are on dependant visas (whether Tier-4 dependant visa or Tier-2 dependant visa). I reminded him to get a job that will sponsor Tier 2 after his Masters and he told me he will go on a Post Study Work Visa for another two years. This is a wise financial decision and will enable him to keep earning at his current level or more for the next 2-3 years. Mad o! 😭 Many doctors may not be opportuned to earn as he does mainly because they need Visas and will take a lower paying salaried job in exchange for Visa sponsorship. Some also go into Residency training and this comes with a lower pay but increases your earning potential in the future. Do what works for you. In hindsight, his coming to the UK 🇬🇧 via the Masters pathway was a stroke of genius and I will recommend any healthcare worker with future earning potential to consider this route.

3. GETTING YOUR ILR OR CITIZENSHIP
This is closely related to the point above. Once you are a permanent resident of any country or a citizen, it unlocks numerous earning potentials for you. You are no longer Visa-bound and can do any work and earn anything. You can also freely do businesses that can skyrocket your earning potentials.

These are the three points that come to mind. Do share in the comment section any tips that can help young persons who have relocated unlock financial independence.

Let's continue to do more together. 🙏❤️

Discipline yourself to do what you know you need to do to be the very best in your field. Perhaps the best definition of self-discipline is this: "Self-discipline is the ability to make yourself do what you should do when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not."
