Preparing for Winter Solstice (only 15 more sleeps) with some gentle yoga and this beautiful poem by Victoria Erickson
"What is a night?
A night is shadows,
a night is darkness.
A night is campfires
and candlelit rooms
and silent, rising moons.
A night is
sudden cravings
or habits
that grip you like a fist,
daring you to listen,
to bring them out of hiding,
to be seen,
to be heard,
to be felt,
to be lived.
Breathe in this night
as it reveals
what your days
will never offer,
or give.
Somewhere inside of you
something aches to be heard,
and perhaps by you alone.
The scenery may change.
But not this."
