You donāt need to worry about getting your body back postpartum.
Because you never lost it, momma.
Your body has shown you how truly amazing it is! So instead of trying to punish it to get it back to where it was, take care of it and show your gratitude for its capability to give you one of the best gifts in the world š
Therefore, donāt let wellness be defined solely on the way you look.
Donāt let wellness be defined by what you HAVE to do, but rather what you GET to do.
To maintain your energy for your babies.
To maintain your joy in motherhood.
To keep your body strong and capable.
To have peace for all circumstances.
šš¼ Often, we can have resentment for wellness because we feel as though we are pressured into it- that we have to look a certain way or be a certain way. However, that is trying to chase the approval of others and focusing too much on the worldās concerns.
āļø Hereās what heavenly concerns look like:
- I will take care of the body God has given me so that I can serve the people he has blessed me with, and live out His mission here on Earth with joy
- I will make time for the things in life that build my character so that I may overcome challenges and to prepare me for the life I will live in eternity one day with Him; for all things on Earth are temporary
- Wellness allows me to live in a way that focuses on values and principles, instead of living based on my emotions. Thus, I can live purposefully in my time on Earth, instead of in constant self-gratification (which never satisfies)
There is so much goodness available to us, and God does not intend for us to do anything alone.
Postpartum is a season in life that looks differently for every momma.
⨠If there is one thing that you should remember as you go through it, itās that you are stronger than you know! Take a moment to think about everything youāve been through! Now thatās superhero status!!
