Now that we’ve hit December, are you starting to think of Christmas gift options?

Do you have that person in your life that’s hard to buy for? LOOK NO FURTHER! Gift certificates are available!

Shot me a message with any questions and I’d be happy to help you out!

29/10/2020

Holy! It’s been a hot minute.

Sometimes things don’t go quite as planned but welcome to 2020. If this year has taught me anything, it’s taught me that it is okay to take time for yourself. Sometimes mental health might not always look the same to everyone and don’t ever be ashamed that you have to tell someone “no” for yourself.

As I’m getting back into things, I want to remind my clients that my treatment room is a safe space!

Don’t forget to book in!

Until next time!

Looking for a sign to start a change in your life?

TAKE THIS AS YOUR SIGN!

- PRACTICE the self care you’ve been meaning to
- TAKE the extra time for yourself if you’re feeling you need it
- DO the home care and stretches

Trust me 😉 you’ll thank me later!

Very proud to have this delivered to the clinic the other day. To say my first year as an RMT has been interesting would be an understatement. Do I love massaging people in a mask? No but do I still love helping people and working with people to make improvements? Ansolutely!

Well things are definitely different after having my first day back under my belt! Heading into the second day now! Here is just a reminder of the new protocols being put in place!

29/05/2020

Well well well!

As some of you may have already heard, RMTs are allowed to gradually start practicing again according the College of Massage Therapy in Ontario. Although this is a good thing, there is a still a lot of work that is going to need to happen behind the public eyes before I am able to start taking emergency clients only.

I will be doing my best to ensure that I will be practicing in a manner and style that will minimize the spread of any sort of virus/bacteria.

What this means for you!
- things might look a little different when you’re getting a treatment
- things will be very efficient meaning you will be in and out and minimal contact/social

Although I’m excited to be able to go back, there is a long road before I’m able to gradually start back with emergency clients.

Thank you all for your patience during this time! It is greatly appreciated.

27/05/2020

Well it’s been a while!

Hope everyone is doing alright with all this still going on!

I just wanted to check in and ask, what keeps you going during this? What are you doing to keep sane?

Comment to give me and some others a few ideas!

Stay cool, hydrated and keep doing that home care!

Namaste stay at home 🧘🏽‍♀️

Taking this little break in practicing to work on myself and do a little extra self care. This break can be hard on everyone’s mental health with the uncertainty of how long this will be.

Just know you’re not alone! We are all in this together💕

Well you see it here first, the College of Massage Therapy has spoken and massage therapy has been deemed non essential 😞

Through this difficult time, please continue to check in on your friends, family, small businesses and self employed. Take this time to reflect on how lucky we are to have shelter where we can continue to self isolate.

I will have to cancel all upcoming appointment until RMTs are allowed to practice again.

Thank you for the understanding during the virus period.

23/03/2020

Well with the news of all non essential businesses being shut down, things aren’t looking promising to reschedule any appointments from last and looks like I need cancel this week’s and next week’s appointments.

As much as I hate not working, I’d rather not aid in this spread of this virus! With this pandemic, please remember to practice hand hygiene and self distancing!

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Stay safe and positive through this tough time 💕

17/03/2020

As per recommendation from the College of Massage Therapy of Ontario, I will be suspending my practice for at least the next week. I will be taking things day by day to see when is a good time to start rebooking. I know this isn’t ideal but I want to make sure that this virus doesn’t spread more than it already has. Please practice social distancing and proper hand washing practices. If you have any questions please feel free to reach, I am here to help

It's been a while but life can get a little crazy at times!

On a cold winter storm day what do you find yourself doing? I've got myself wrapped up with a hot cup of tea and a blanket in front of the fire getting ready to take on this day.

Now what do you do when things stress you out? Bite your nails? Nervous laugh? Get really anxious? Although yes, massages themselves can help relax the body itself; there is a lot things you can do yourself. There are many ways you can at home or while you're driving. Simple things like a counted breathing pattern or a grounding technique!

If you have any questions about ways you can help de-stress, feel free to ask!

Someone went a little too hard at the dog park yesterday and now is a little sore from all of the exercise!

Just like humans, dogs can benefit from massage techniques and stretching for those sore and stiff muscles. If you ever find you’ve went a little too hard and need some help in that department, book in for an appointment to see how I can help you!

Looks like someone is going to get a little more spoiled that usual 😉 Why not spoil yourself too!

23/01/2020

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

Hope all have been well and not too snowed in!
I figured I’d hop on here and take some time to answer any questions YOU have! 🙂

It can be anything from health to stretching, exercise to treatment 🙂!

Look forward to hearing from you!

Your local RMT Paige!

Two posts in one day !

What am I doing on my day off? I’m taking time for myself. I haven’t been to the gym in a bit because I kept making excuses that other things were important. Well I finally stopped lying to myself and here I am!

As a general guide you’re supposed to get about 30 minutes of daily exercise. How many people can say they get that? I know I wasn’t. I’m starting resolutions early this year and making it part of my goal to hit that 30 minutes daily!

Also don’t forget to stretch !! :)

With the busy lifestyle that ever seems to rush into, I have to ask: what do you do on your day off?

Rush around to get all of the loose ends all tied up? Not take any time for yourself. Although making sure everything comes together is important, so is making time for yourself. This morning was one of those mornings where I decided to stay a little later in bed. I got some cuddles with the dogs before the busy day started.

Taking some time to just enjoy your morning coffee, or stay in bed to breath for a little bit can help with your every day lifestyle stress. You know what also helps? BOOKING A MASSAGE 🙂

Don’t forget benefits will be rolling over soon and most health care benefits cover massage! Book in now 🙂

“Like butter fresh out of the microwave”

Might not be something you hear everyday. When I was chatting with some co workers, this phrase came up. No it isn’t about popcorn, it’s about the effects that massage can have for the chiropractors. A few chiropractors that I work love to pair massage and chiro appointments together. I had never thought about doing this personally but once I thought about it, it made perfect sense. Massage relaxes and calms all the muscles down which allows the chiropractor to make the adjustments easier.

If your chiropractor has a hard time making adjusts on you, try booking a massage before hand! It just could be exactly what you need!

Look forward to having you in!

You know how health care practitioners and providers always give home care or stretches?

How many people actually go home and do those stretches?

Take it from someone who is in a career that's very demanding on their body, HOME CARE IS IMPORTANT! Read it again outloud :)! Home care is important!!

After a day at the clinic I come home and do my own homecare. I stretch. I lay on the floor and complete a stretching routine. Yes sometimes it's a pain because I have other things to do but it also NEEDS to be done. If I don't do my homecare, I'm only hurting myself and my quality of life.

If you don't understand or need a therapist to redemonstrate, just ask! :)

PM me if you have any questions about homecare/stretching or even just want to know my stretching routine!

HAPPY TUESDAY :)

Let's first talk about self care! Mental health is such a common topic these days but still needs to be promoted! Self care can be anything from having a hot bath to taking g a walk or booking yourself in for a massage. It is all about doing something for yourself that will help you de-stress and get back to your regular self.

Booking in for a massage is the perfect way to relax. It allows your body to fully relax and can take your mind off the busy road we call life! Along with the massage, I will send you home with some therapeutic tips and exercises to help keep your mind at ease.

If you have any questions about self care and how I could possibly help, shoot me a message! I look forward to hearing from you!

After becoming a member of the Ontario College of Massage Therapy, I have now started to work at Kawartha Lakes Chiropractic. I pride myself in offering a well balanced, client centered massage. I look forward to hearing from you!
