🚓👮‍♀️ Special Visit from Constable Rachel! 👮‍♀️🚓

We had an exciting visit today from Constable Rachel from the RCMP for an in-person field trip right at our daycare!

The children were thrilled to explore and learn about the important work police officers do to keep our communities safe. Constable Rachel showed us her uniform and special gear, talked about her police vehicle, and explained how she helps people every day.

Our curious little learners asked lots of great questions — and Constable Rachel answered each one with patience and kindness! 💙 From sirens to seatbelts, and handcuffs to helping others, the kids were fascinated by every part of her job.

A big THANK YOU to Constable Rachel and the RCMP for this fun and educational visit! We’re so grateful for the work you do and for taking the time to connect with our children. 🌟

🦅 Bird Beak Lab – Learning Through Play! 🐦🔍

Our preschoolers had so much fun exploring how different bird beaks work during our Bird Beak Lab activity!

Using tweezers to mimic beaks, the children experimented with picking up various “seeds” and materials, learning how birds use different beak shapes to eat different foods. It was a hands-on science experience filled with curiosity, discovery, and lots of excitement!

We love watching little minds learn through play! 🌱✨

🦜 Preschool Bird Collage – Teamwork in Action! 🌿🎨

Our preschoolers teamed up this week to create a beautiful bird collage using recycled paper! ♻️✂️

It was a wonderful opportunity to practice teamwork, creativity, and environmental awareness. Each child added their own special touch, and together they built something truly amazing. We’re so proud of their collaboration and imagination!

👔 Father’s Day Fun at Kids Haven! 💙

To celebrate the amazing dads in our lives, the children at Kids Haven made special neckties just for them! Each tie was decorated with love, creativity, and a whole lot of tiny hands hard at work. 🖍️🎨

We hope all the dads enjoy their handmade gifts as much as we enjoyed making them! Happy Father’s Day to all the wonderful fathers and father figures — thank you for all you do! 💙

🎨🫧 Messy Magic in the Toddler Room! 🌈✨

Our toddlers got their hands messy (and had a blast doing it!) with an exciting sensory art activity this week! We wrapped cellophane around the table and let them paint using shaving cream mixed with vibrant food coloring. 💦🎨

They squished, swirled, and spread colors with joy — creating beautiful, squishy masterpieces while exploring textures and color mixing. This kind of play supports fine motor skills, creativity, and sensory development in the most fun, hands-on way!

🌼🎨 Preschool Flower Garden Fun! 🌈🌸

Our preschoolers got creative and colorful this week by making their very own flower gardens using pom poms and sponge painting! 🌷✨

They loved mixing colors to create beautiful blooms and carefully placing their pom poms to bring the garden to life. It was such a joyful way to explore color blending, textures, and imagination all at once! 🎨💛

🌸🔢 Counting Flowers and Learning Names! 🌼✨

Our preschoolers had a blossoming good time today as they practiced counting colorful flowers and matching them with the correct numbers! 🌷🌻🌹

Not only did they sharpen their number skills, but they also learned the names of a few beautiful flowers along the way. It was wonderful to hear their excitement as they said words like “tulip,” “daisy,” and “sunflower.”

Our preschoolers had a weekend full of creativity and imagination! ✏️💫

They loved tracing characters from their favorite cartoon series, carefully outlining each detail with focus and excitement. It was amazing to see how proud they were of their creations — true little artists in the making! 🎨👩‍🎨🧑‍🎨

💦👶 Water Table Wonders – Infant Edition! 🌞🪣

Our little ones had a blast splashing and exploring at the water table this week! With scoops, cups, floating toys, and lots of curious hands, the infants dove into some cool sensory fun (with plenty of giggles along the way!). 🐟🫧
