You may have seen Christine Buncaras around, offering assistance wherever she can. She is one of the many staff we are so proud to have working at Bishops Gardens.

Who do you admire?
Christine: The person I admire the most is my mother. She is my number one role model. Her selflessness and sacrifices for our family are unmatched. She has taught me to achieve my goals, and has positively influenced me in my life.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
Christine: I enjoy watching movies, tv shows and reading books.

Why do you like working at Bishops Gardens?
Christine: I like working at Bishops Gardens because the staff members treat residents with kindness and compassion. I have been able to get to know the residents better, listen to their stories, protect and enjoy them.

Bob: Be careful what you say. Be skeptical. If you promise something you should keep it.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
Bob: I enjoy using the computer, reading and speaking with friends.

What do you think it takes to be happy?
Bob: Freedom.

What was your favourite subject in school?
Bob: I enjoyed math.

What kind of trouble did you get into when you were younger?
Bob: My friends and I would go into the apple orchards near where we lived and help ourselves.

Why do you like living at Bishops Gardens?
Bob: The people are friendly and you can do almost any hobby you want.

What hobbies do you enjoy?

Hazel: I love listening to music, watching movies, gardening, travelling and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Who do you admire most?

Hazel: My mother. I admire her generosity, kindness, understanding, patience and hard work. I’m so proud of her and love her so much.

Why do you like working at Bishops Gardens?

Hazel: I like working at Bishops Gardens because of the lovely residents and staff that I get to form bonds with. Taking care of the elderly finds me an enjoyable and rewarding job.

What life lesson would you pass along to youth today?
Effie: Respect your elders and stay in school.

What hobbies do you enjoy?
Effie: Word Searches, knitting and socializing with others.

What do you think it takes to be happy?
Effie: Having good people around you. A positive outlook on life. Making people smile and laugh makes me happy.

What was your favourite subject in school?
Effie: I never had one. My favourite part of school was going home.

What kind of trouble did you get into when you were
younger?
Effie: I use to hide in various locations and spray people with the water hose. I also broke into my Mom’s pantry and ate the fruit she had saved for making fruitcakes.

Why do you like living at Bishops Gardens?
Effie: The residents and staff are so nice. There is always something for me to do.
